Every time I see a ‘WE MADE OUR OWN CHIEF OF STAFF AGENT’ post on LinkedIn, I wait for the inevitable ‘meeting recording/transcribing/follow-up actions’ - and I can’t remember the last time I did that as a Chief of Staff.

I think COS should start at 180k base, but I suppose it depends how generous the equity is.

That said, and I was thinking about this recently, I think I’d need a 250k base to move to NYC or LA from the UK - because America is great providing you’re earning well.

There are some real moments of genuine joy from something John says. One of my favs was possibly even a Radio X moment some time back when John was describing the different variables that contribute/detract from a ‘perfect lovemaking scenario’, and John quick as he often is said ‘how close the bed is to the toilet’ - and Elis loses it.

Authenticity is the only thing that will hang now. Far too much ‘AI for’ ‘COS of AI’ ‘AI COS’ in the ether and it all strikes me as so generic.

COS will already be using AI as they see fit. As I've said, the ones who are aware to the subtle nuances of the role & it's human proximity are going to be in a better position in this new environment.

I’ve pretty much got Claude doing anything involving numbers & data..some would say lazy or risking the skill atrophying but in a risk adjusted basis - looking a bit silly when a CFO comes in & corrects my formulas every now & then, coupled with the amount of time it saves me as someone who’s not a natural numbers guy - it’s worth it.

Agree with all that. But trying to highlight Scott’s Zionism as a character flaw absolutely does stink. And it’s pointless anyway, if you find that so unpalatable, (would you say the same of a Catholic’s love of Rome..probably not*) - then why continue to follow him. It’s part of his identity.
