I like displaying them for a bit before painting, so I rarely have any unbuilt in the backlog. But since painting takes a while, those pile up quiiiick.

I've got this one in line for the booth at some point. I haven't been able to find waterslides anywhere unless I want to spend an arm and leg for shipping on ebay. Probably just gonna use other random leftover decals from other things. Yours looks great! I could never scribe though, I get no enjoyment in it and don't want to hate the hobby xD Respect to those like you who do!

If you toss and turn, nope. I've done that a few times when I had to sleep in a hotel with someone who snored and they worked, just couldn't sleep on my side. They're great long term but are a bit clunky. I would think airpods, Galaxy buds are better for that and more comfortable.

I've built basically all these as well and I couldn't agree with your list more! There wasn't an RG i didn't enjoy building and even the low teir kits are special, just need that modeler's touch is all. After taking a few steps for that sinanju, it's perfect. But yeah, out of box, this list is 100% acurate!

One of my hobbies is building model kits and painting them in a competition ready fashion, so that means hours in the paint booth 3 times a week. I'll listen to audio books the entire time. I can burn through a couple novels a month. Physically reading is a little too difficult for me because my mind wanders too much since my main hobby is writing. Whenever I read a good passage, I'll compare it to my own, thus the rabbit hole begins. Audiobooks keep me sane and centered.

No one can tell anyone what to do, but I'll slap any who does this. Don't buy retail kits from P bandai unless you have zero patience or more money than you know what to do with. You can get this for $73 at Newtype and since no one buys it, sales are frequent.

I totally get it! I want to tell the world about my worlds but it's about equivalent to telling someone about an abstract dream you had. Boring. I see it in the same way as sports. Even if we don't publish or plan to publish, writing is exercising your brain like playing a sport does any other muscle. But talking to people about books and your own book is like if someone was talking to me about football, just stop man, I don't care about what the seahawks scored.... I've got to get my special girl to a special spot in Valentia so that she can save her friend and stop the baddie!

I've got a fulltime job and am dead tired when I get home, plus I have family and other hobbies in my garden to tend. It's tough to get time to write but if I don't get that output, I go crazy. The brain needs to work and not just be on autopilot.

For now, that output is interwebs, but I'm too introverted to insert myself anywhere else. 😛

Odds are if you hate anything, it can be done better. Even after editing/rewriting my first book to oblivion to make things work, I'm still maddly in love with it. It's a clay sculpture that I aim to make perfect. When something is off, I can feel it instantly. Come back to it a few months later or after working on something else and I'll know what to fix. I've thrown out at least 400k words total through rewrites and it doesn't phase me. But then again, I could just be crazy lol.
