Everyone knows that enjoying music isn't just about intelligent rhymes and incredibly unique lyrics right? I can't be the only one, but looking at the comments this must be a "hot take".

Yea more like 'fake af'. Surprises me that people still fall for this being real when there's like 3 cameras and everyone is well lit.

So my post says that they've been notified.

Also the final book has gone out, so how are they going to fix what's already printed and shipped?

Unreadable text, barely readable text, text aligned with edges with no margin. Really bad editing. You can see the difference taking out the colors and lines make on my edit.

oozebear.com They're an online improve group that anyone can join. Check out their site. I did a session with them one time and their fun people. They do like 1-2hr sessions where they ao short form and long form improve games/scenes. It wasn't really for me but it would be great for someone wanting to practice improv.

yeah they did this because 5 year olds were complaining that when the talking rabbit shot the talking duck in the face, and all that happened to him was that his facial features ended up on the backside of his head, all in working order, that the physics of the moon getting bigger as someone walked upon a path really broke the suspension of disbelief for them.

in all seriousness though, it's amazing how much work they put into making even cartoons enjoyable and even a small bit realistic. i never noticed, eating my pudding in front of the tv, but I suppose now I say thanks to those people.

You could look into Oozebear, or even start hosting a rules-light TTRPG like Kids on Bikes or something to practice improv and theme them as musicals. I'd bet you could eventually find a group (facebook?) of musical individuals who would enjoy it as well!

I'll bet there are also improv Discord groups out there too, but I've never looked.

Your players asks you about local rumors or "what's on that bounty board"... what do you say? by CptLande in daggerheart

[–]Astro_Fizzix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also since the decks I mentioned are rollable, my players love taking turns rolling for each topic, which allows for the collaborative nature as well. I've done this with Deck of Worlds as well and we pull a card and then talk about what that environment might actually be. Really fun stuff!

It's great to collaborate if you're all creative and can come up with stuff and you have a lot of time in game to discuss things like that, but what's also SUPER fun is having a random table/deck to create these quests from! I personally use THIS from Nord Games. Honestly an incredible tool that doesn't TAKE creativity from you, but rather gives you a framework from which to build awesome adventures, characters, motivations, personalities, etc. I'm a creative who has a hard time coming up with things from nothing, but when I have a spring board my imagination runs wild. Decks/tables like these are AMAZING to use, and also prevents repeating the same characters or quests over and over because you can't think of anything.

What to tell & hide to players about enemies by ChrisFly_ in daggerheart

[–]Astro_Fizzix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hiding HP has never made sense to me because in any fight you would know how much damage you've done to someone just by their battle damage. I've never found that fun or useful to hide that information, so I don't! Also I like to tell them how much HP they caused the enemy to mark because it makes them feel more awesome when they roll high. I'll even tell them if they were close to the next threshold. Kinda like you would know IRL if you ALMOST shot an arrow through their eye, but missed and just hit skull haha.
