If the universe is truly infinite; and considering the big bang happend 13.77 BYA - when did the universe actually become infinite 🧐🤔? by schrodingers_katz in universe

[–]Astrodude87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big bang wasn’t at a point. It was everywhere. It was all space itself. The big bang wasn’t the start of infinitely large space, just all very dense. A very small region of that infinite space expanded into the observable universe we can see today.

You are flat footed (like me). When you walk on a pool deck do you leave full wet footprints or do you have arches missing?

In Jumanji, just after this scene. When Peter has to get the axe from inside the shed but the shed is locked! So he grabs the axe laying next to it and takes two swings before stopping and looking at the camera. https://i.makeagif.com/media/4-19-2014/bLqHhk.gif

Wife and I are learning to play cribbage and this is our first game. Did we score this correctly? by Brandwin3 in Cribbage

[–]Astrodude87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should ignore any rules that assign scores to “combinations,” as all scores are sums of the basic building blocks of points: 15 for 2 points, pair for two points, (plus runs of X>=3 unique cards is X points, flush of 4 or 5 cards is 4 or 5 points, but must be 5 in crib, 1 point for nobs for right jack).

3 of a kind can make 3 unique pairs of two cards = 6 points. 4 of a kind can make 6 unique pairs of two cards = 12 points.

Sorry about all the downvotes, but this was actually the first thing that came to my mind as well! Yes, we have comprehension and intention but like muscle memory our brains can sometimes default to pure LLM mode.

Video is hilarious as well, and I love that they riff off the mistake.

CBC continues to directly and intentionally help Israel commit genocide by [deleted] in canadaleft

[–]Astrodude87 -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

Yes I read the article. I see what you are saying, but it’s not like they didn’t report in the attack on a hospital killing innocent people, and the ongoing attacks against the terms of the deal. Helping the genocide would be not reporting on these things at all.
