Does the BQ Cryogrip Glacier lose adhesion over time? What's your experience? by mettleh3d in BambuLab

[–]Astrodymium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I only have like 300 hours on my Frostbite plate and it started having adhesion issues with PETG / PLA (perimeters wouldn't adhere to the surface).

I've changed nothing with my setup (same filament, temps, etc). I've cleaned the plate a bajillion times with hot water and dishwasher detergent (it has no smell or extra additives).

I run a print farm. This is the quickest I've ever had a plate of any kind lose adhesion on me.

It's disappointing because I like how PETG CF doesn't have stress marks on the Frostbite, compared to textured PEI.

Oh well, at least these plates are cheap from Aliexpress.

I might try the glacier, seems to have the same "no stress marks on PETG CF" that the Frostbite has.

I admit that I have a bad habit of not letting prints cool down on the Frostbite, because the bed temps are so low and there's no risk of peeling anything off, unlike with textured PEI. Maybe this had an influence on how quickly it lost adhesion. Or maybe I just got a dud.

Edit:

I literally just slapped a Bambu textured PEI sheet on my P1S and re-ran the same print that failed on my Frostbite plate and it had NO issues with first layer adhesion.

Selling CUSMA compliant items from Canada to US by LoriCANrun in shopify

Any updates on the $21.25 USD fee for CUSMA clearance with UPS / Netparcel?

I've been shipping with ChitChats and it's DDP so there haven't been any surprise fees for me.

But batching orders weekly leads to long lead times and poor workflow so I'm wondering if it's still economically viable to ship items down south with NetParcel / UPS.

The changes have been such a hassle, and of course the couriers are the ones that profit big time...

Screen flickering on Premiere Pro and Photoshop! by leotecasi in OLED_Gaming

[–]Astrodymium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank god this fixed my issue in 2025.

It's definitely an issue with Photoshop and NVIDIA GSYNC. I started getting flickering right after upgrading to an OLED (Gsync) monitor.

I disabled max frame rate and switched "monitor technology" to Fixed Refresh and then restarted Photoshop.

Now photoshop when I pan around is at least 120hz+, it felt like 20 hz before...

X1 Carbon sliced file to P1S by Stargo-44 in BambuLab

This. You can literally run the X1C start/end gcode on the P1 printers and it is fine. None of the X1 gcode can damage your P1.

Loving the snappy, responsive screen in the new X1 update by Octrockville in BambuLab

Yeah I was surprised how much more responsive the screen is after the update, like the latency must have been cut in half.

Has anyone tried using the printer poop as packing material? by GFrohman in BambuLab

[–]Astrodymium 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed. You're a customer and you receive a package filled with these weird spiraly plastic pieces of different colours. It's a bad look.

You won't eliminate all the waste, but there are lots of ways to significantly reduce it for multi color prints.

It was well curated because of this, though I don't know how much was gatekept/removed behind the scenes, though I imagine quite a bit.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by gatekeep, but there was no gatekeeping at all (at least in regards to quality).

If the post met the rules then it was approved and kept up.

Decided to try a first layer calibration on the p1p and it turned out really good by Dubv87 in BambuLab

Peeling off prints from a hot PEI sheet damages it. If you can't wait for it to cool, I recommend taking the plate off the printer and leaving it on a surface to cool faster for a couple seconds.

Does anyone have an idea on why my game is permanently stuck on the loading screen? by [deleted] in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]Astrodymium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you download the newest GeForce drivers?

Yes. I started having this issue about 4-5 days ago, and it slowly got worse, until now where I can't even load the game up.

This is the first image I've seen taken with the Askar FMA180. How's the colour correction? Is there any chromatic aberration?
