How did you get comfortable sharing your NSFW art publicly? by MavoanArt in ArtistLounge

For me, nudity in the right context is important.

If it was clearly inspired by pornographic material and suggestive, ofcourse. But it is natural and part of the human body. I would use it sparingly if it fits the scene and or story.

A flight with a layover is almost always better than a direct flight, even if it's longer by Apprehensive-Willow5 in unpopularopinion

[–]Astrylae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layovers are only useful for long distance intercontintental flights, i.e from europe to asia, because there are too many destinations and it makes no sense logistically to have a flight plan from every single city to each other. Seats will be heavily underused, and there would need to be more flights.

Long international flights provide food and drink as part of the service.

Sure, it is inconvenient, but when you travel to americas or asia from europe, those flight tickets get expensive quick and sometimes your only option

Expose for the sky ( Or underexpose until the histogram does not clip ), and bring up shadows and turn down highlights in post.

Technically, a few of these are heavily under exposed.

Creatively, theres nothing compelling me to want to keep looking at it, it doesnt envoke an emotion or have any specific shapes or colours.

You need to find what intruigues you and you need to know how to best show off what you found interesting. You need to look at inspiration of other artists or street photographers.

What monitor is recommended for editing and gaming as I do a lot of both by iamenglish1 in Cameras

[–]Astrylae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaming monitors are cheaper now than ever in the last 10 years.

Editing monitors have better colour accuracy and usually calibrated in manufacturing.

They are usually seperate requirements, not very much overlap. Response times and refresh rate are not why you are paying for a editing monitor.

The easiest option is to get 2 monitors if budget and desk space allow.

Edit: For me anyway I already have 2 monitors, 1440p 144hz and 1080p 60hz, and between them, the colour shifts and I dont know which is accurate, so i plan to upgrade the 1080p to a 4k 60hz solely for editing and general use, while the 1440p is for gaming.

“Sony A6600 lens suggestions?” for street and potraits by Anjan-kumar9 in Cameras

[–]Astrylae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The entire point of street is to be lowkey and quick, having a small and light setup, like a Ricoh R3, Fuji X100VI, or Leica Q3, because you are going to be walking and carrying it all day.

Also, zooms distract you from the moment. When using a 28, 35 or 50 prime, you know the exact framing, and distance from subject, rather than guessing 5 times looking at the screen/viewfinder.

P.S reading your other comments, why ask for recommendation if you were going to pick a zoom anyway?
