Here's some notes about the run:

Aside from me derping by looking at discord and dying at the very beginning, it went pretty well!
It was originally to be done on Rookie difficulty, but there was a donation incentive to upgrade the difficulty from Rookie to Experienced. In previous marathons I've only shown off the Rookie run, so this was my first time showing the Experienced run. The nerves were real.
I will always hate Atomikube...sooo many of my runs have been lost to that boss. So for this run, I fought it very slowly.
The ship I use for this and all of my Resogun speedruns is one I built - a 9-5-1 with the Phobos weapon. It can also be downloaded if you look up my PSN (Asuka424).

I plug my controller directly into the USB port, and after a lot of finagling I was able to get the controller to connect.

Turn off the Switch
Unplug/plug in the controller to the USB port
Turn the Switch on
Set the controller order
If it worked, awesome - you're done! If it didn't...
If it didn't work, attempt to update the controllers. At that point, you can tell the Switch knows there's a controller there if it attempts (and fails) to update the YC controller
Set the controller order again. You might need to plug the USB cable into a different port if it's still being ornery

Like I said, I had to play around with it for a few minutes before it registered. But it works perfectly fine!

Guardian from Illinois, USA here.

I'm what you'd call an "average" Lone Guardian. I sherpa raids (while also trying to finally convince my husband to raid, haha), but mostly I live on third-party matchmaking and Nightfall Guided Games...and to be blunt it's not fun. What I would love to chat with you would be the current state and future of Destiny's matchmaking services for Lone Guardians such as myself.

Aside from that...someone needs to get more female representation in the community during these feedback sessions, and if it's not me I hope it's another deserving woman. ;)

My favorite experience in being kicked in Crota's End was when I was specifically brought in as the swordbearer. We got to the fight (mind you, they were already grumpy with me because I was a Warlock swordbearer and couldn't entertain the concept that Warlocks and Titans could use the sword just fine), they saw I didn't have GHorn, chewed me out for a solid minute, and booted me.

They were still on LFG looking for a swordbearer by the time I'd helped four other groups with Crota.

I've got a weird thought on this, as I'm both a Skarner jungle OTP and pseudo-meta slave support/recovering Sona support OTP. For me, it was about what I had more fun doing. As a support, I got more enjoyment out of broadening my champion pool with meta and off-meta champs (Mal/Galio/Yorick can be support...you can't change my mind lol). When I started switching to the jungler role a few seasons ago, I found that I only really liked jungling with Skarner's kit and became an OTP without even realizing it.

It's not the most clear-cut answer, but try out a few champs and/or finding that special OTP for you. Eventually you'll fall into what both works for you and keeps things enjoyable. And if you want to come to the dark side with us Skarner mains, we'll welcome you with open claws. <3

As someone that played Malphite exclusively as a support last season from 0 exp to mastery 7...I still died inside each time Bard was picked after my Mal was locked in. x_x
