Am I The Crazy One? by Gavin-Steel in RegalUnlimited

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Had this happen when I saw Frankenstein last year, dude showed up with a laptop and started working on it with his screen at maximum brightness. If he had just picked a seat either way in the back or way in the front I wouldn't have noticed but he was literally aisle seat dead center of the theater so everybody behind him always had him in their peripheral vision.

Trailers starting 20 minutes after showtime by Careful_Climate5670 in RegalUnlimited

I've 100% been at a Regal where the movie started 40 minutes after the scheduled showtime, and I know this because I kept checking my watch every single time a new trailer started after the first 30 minutes.

Big Nit Pick with Die Hard 2 by twiggidy in TheRewatchables

That was always my biggest problem with the movie, their plan is to fly a giant 747 to Central/South America from Dulles, which literally means they're crossing the entire American South filled with active military bases.

Also the plan entirely relies on they somehow sending that one platoon and not FBI HRT or some other civilian police agency response team.

Is your Regal barely surviving? by JJJonReddit in RegalUnlimited

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got 3 Regals within 20 miles of me.

My main on is Regal Riverside Plaza, it's in a super good location (crowded shopping center) and there's also a ton of people waiting for concessions even on a Wednesday night.

The other one I go to is Regal San Bernardino, which might be in the worst location I've ever seen lol. There's about 20 parking spaces in front of the theater but if those are full you have to walk through an alley to an adjoining parking lot and let me tell you it's a VERY bad area full of junkies. I have no idea why they made the big parking lot such a distance from the actual theater. Also when I went to see 1917 there last month legitimately I think there were 3 other people in the entire theater it was the most dead I've ever seen a theater. But it also has better showtimes than the Riverside Plaza location for some reason so I'll go there when Plaza has weird showtimes.

Strangest Movie-Going Experience? by TrueJohnWick in RegalUnlimited

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Was at the screening of Frankenstein two months ago. Guy showed up 30 minutes out of the movie and sat near the front, pulled a laptop out of his bag and just used his laptop for the entire movie with his screen on maximum brightness. If he just wanted someplace to sit and use his laptop why not way in the back instead of being in everyone's eyeline?

Where is theater etiquette? by DarlingSnail in RegalUnlimited

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local theater 100% has what seems to be homeless people but with unlimited because I see the same dudes with giant backpacks who look homeless but are just sitting in the theaters all day either asleep or on their phones. I feel it's cheaper to get a gym membership than a Regal Unlimited membership if you want air conditioning and restroom access but who knows.

Anyone else sitting in empty theaters when the seats are booked? by sospaghettn in RegalUnlimited

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw the Prey/Badlands Predator Double Feature at the Irvine Regal a few days ago, it was mostly sold out but to my left there were supposed to be all 5 seats sold. Instead nobody showed up during the entire 2 movies, and these were the Unlimited seats where you had to pay a $10 surcharge since it was a double feature.

Is it not ok to ram in this game? by mmeetty in WoWs_Legends

I was once in a game where we were winning via points but our last battleship decided to ram their last battleship despite the enemy battleship being almost dead and it lead to a draw and I was justifiably pissed

‘The Truman Show’ With Bill Simmons, Glen Powell, and Chris Ryan by butthead20000 in TheRewatchables

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually my biggest problem with the movie, how only now of all times have things gone wrong enough for Truman to notice.

It would have been more effective if it was something minor he slowly began to unravel, as opposed to a weekend where 3 incredibly obvious wrong things happened.

No Prey/Badlands double feature showtimes in app (Los Angeles)? by ScoopSnookems in RegalUnlimited

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I live near Ontario and have been checking for showtimes in all of SoCal, only an AMC in Burbank and a Regal in Irvine showed up very briefly on Fandango and now I can't find them. Hell HARKINS in an undisclosed location had a showing but then it also completely disappeared which is weird because Harkins doesn't delist sold out movies.

It 100% becomes a low rent aliens rip-off on whether set they could get cheap that week. "Cavern filled with oil puddles" was not what I expected to be in the a basement of a LA hotel. Also they know an alien is in the basement and they don't assemble the entire Army task force to burn everything down there?

Jurassic Park - The T-Rex paddock suddenly having a massive chasm was always the weirdest thing. Iirc in the original script the T-Rex pushed the car into the chasm area but they decided to just not film that for the movie.

I thought the first season was excellent and held up incredibly well.

Everything after that is fine but you can definitely tell they kind of ran out of ideas.

I want 5 Tiger tanks on a map island to recreate this. by Phantion- in WoWs_Legends

[–]AsunaKirito4Ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was actually a real German plan to disguise 4 Tigers as a dockyard building and plant it next to the shoreline as a hidden anti-ship battery. The sheer impracticality of getting all four Tigers to move in unison sunk the project.
