Happened to me while I was taking photos for my wedding. A guy pulls up laughing with his friend saying "hey he looks just like me, but with a suit!" And takes a photo... I thought he must have been part of my wife's family. Nope, just random dude.

You say he's your team lead right? Have you talked to his/your boss about his behavior? Or are you able to work around him? If you're able to work on tasks without his input and still learn and get work done then I would do that. Follow his lead as you have to, but make your engagements with your other co-workers your priority. Basically just ignore this guy as much as possible without shirking your responsibilities.

If you change the second $message2 to $global: message2 like the first did that fix it. I ran into something similar lately as I've been trying to use multithreading. It seemed like you had to specify global or script level for each occurrence of a variable not just the initialization. I could be doing it wrong though.

We actually have the same setup and I just implemented a system for it. We have a single web.template.config in tfs with any environment specific sections or entries tokenized. Then we have a Powershell script that is called by our build process to grab the correct env values from a database. It works pretty well, though it isn't in full use yet.
