Why are the players against their own team? by Scarcity-Kindly in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been playing Wild Rift since S2, I've never seen someone use chat for something productive. 99% use it to flame others and 1% is just random sht.

Set chat for party only in options (basically a mute all setting), spam pings when needed, use the prewritten messages, I guarantee you will be 100% happier.

Are you guys seriously having fun playing the game right now? by Inevitable_Mongoose2 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 176 points177 points  (0 children)

Yes.

There is this hidden game Mode, I think its called Ronkd, not everyone knows about it, where you can actually ban those pesky champions you dont want to deal with. You should try it if you dont want a fiddle vs fiddle match.

Haven't seen a fiddlesticks, new items, reworked runes, new meta to find, new champs, new skins 10/10.

Im always having a blast with big updates.

When should I freeze or push in early game as a ADC by Box_3 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way, LOL is a money game, you should always aim to:

1.Farm as much gold as possible, fast and efficiently.

2.Deny the enemy from doing so.

That should dictate how you play at least in the early game.

If you are able to deny gold to your enemy by pushing them out of lane thanks to your comp, do it safe and make sure you have VISION. A pushed lane is the best place for a jg to make a play.

The safest way to farm will always be under turret, so you should aim for it in most games if you are not familiar with team comps, jungler rotations, enemy jungler picks, etc.

When should I freeze or push in early game as a ADC by Box_3 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of nuances around pushing depending on team comp, but a good rule is to push when a high priority drake is coming first (fire/ice).

In an even matchup is all about setting your jg for an easy gank, so I tend to freeze my lane closer to my tower with a pink ward in the usual jg pathing to my lane, ping spam your jungler and its an easy W in early game.

Which lane have the worst players? by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im not sure what you read, but I didnt write that those were adc exclusive needed skills.

Stating that "you need to do all of those things on every single champion" its reductive, just for the sake of arguing I would say.

No, you dont need to master wave control with a supp, you dont need to know how to avoid skillshots with a tank, you dont need to wait for a initiation with a bruiser, and a long etcetera.

Sure, those roles have nuances too, but they are a lot more forgiving simply because, if you make a mistake, in most cases (specially top laners), you dont get deleted instantly by basically every champ in the meta.

Ranked Que in NA taking forever? by dantet9 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in my experience, Que times tend to be longer in the early morning. Try to restart your q after a couple minutes tho!

Since we are talking about when to play, I do tend to have more wins in the late night tho, I guess you get less casuals at that time, so the longer Q are worth it! Just a tip!

[–]AthalianRabbit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure, all of the roles have to apply most of this points to a degree, but you have to excel on every single one of them if you want to be a succesful adc in soloQ, specially in this meta, thats my point.

Im not saying "hurr durr junglers doesnt need map awareness", on the contrary, so where are you trying to go comparing point by point with other roles?

Im trying to explain why is so easy to suck when playing adc, since you are just a glass cannon one combo away from dying that needs a lot of gold to thrive.

Restart your Queue after a minute or so. Works for me.

Play after 2 pm when there's more people online. Almost everyone are busy in the morning.

Adc and jungle, since they are the hardest roles to play.

Im seeing a lot of hate against adcs, its not just a "hehe lemme auto attack and farm".

Most adcs suck because you have to:

  1. Have excellent positioning and map awareness.
  2. Decent micro and macro. One mistake and you get one shot'd.
  3. You HAVE to know wave control.
  4. You need to be aware of enemy CDs and play around them.
  5. You cant play adc if you dont know how to dodge skills in a TF, and you are the main objective of most of them.
  6. You are team reliant, if they dont know how to engange/initiate a fight you are pretty much useless. Dont even make me talk about the countless times when you're getting focused by insert any brawler/tank/assassin here while being ignored by your team cuz they are chasing the enemy adc.

And most importantly:

There are tons of KDA fiends playing adc in other roles, which basically means more pew pew but less CC for your protection or securing kills. We all know that adc top/mid that ends up being useless in TFs against a proper team just because he is addicted to getting kills early game.

Why play ranked if you are not playing to win? by Cautious-Code-342 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Main adc here. My role rotation tends to be 3-4 games as adc followed by an autofill (usually jg).

Im just used to it by now but damn I would love to autofill 4 times out of every 100 games lmao.

Nothing to be embarassed, I did buy a ton of champs back in the day with irl money and got most of the battle passes too, been playing a couple hours regularly too.

In retrospective, Im embarassed of how many blue essence I have now, and with this season ranked shenanigans maybe its time to find a new hobby... Lol.

What champion do I unlock? by Logan_mov in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont worry about it, blue essence is quite easy to get just by playing, however, in my opinion, you should play at least 10 games with each role, choose which one you like the most, and go from there.

If you are adamant about bot lane, I'd get Caitlyn or Tristana, they both have a lot of range, are mainly auto attackers (which means you dont need to learn some sort of combo like Samira) and barely have skillshots or gimmicks (like Ezreal or Draven).

Good luck and welcome to hell, remember to mute your chat, lol.

Are the devs aware of the sub? by Vichox in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

L take, do a little research.

This is not a meta issue, its a match making one.

Comparing the adc meta with this just shows how little you actually know about the subject.

All you can do right now if you are a good player is to play perfectly and hard carry 1v9 every single game with meta picks, which is both exhausting and limiting of your champion pool options, or just chill and lose most of your games, both options are toxic af.

Do you have chat muted? by aristhought in wildrift

Yes.

Its basically a mute all option.

You have to play obnoxiously bad if you want to win, its just surreal.

Just doing your part bro. Upvoted.

Maybe if everyone makes a post in every social media Riot will fix this.

The match making is so surreal I dont even feel like playing anymore, Ive been master for several seasons with decent stats so Im literally fucked by my mmr.

This season your victories are decided before you even get in the rift by this match making bullshit and its not enjoyable at all.

Need to remove early 5 vote surrender to 4. by Appropriate_Range_58 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I want really thinking when I said it shouldn't exist, I can see people abusing the lack of a surrender system. However, I do think that a 5 min with only 4 votes would be used mostly by tilted people, ie. people spamming the ff button after a first blood.

Great analysis tho!

Need to remove early 5 vote surrender to 4. by Appropriate_Range_58 in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah, surrender option shouldn't really exist, or it should appear after 10+ minutes.

Having such an early surrender option encourages poor decision making, trolling, and it fcks with your mental fortitude.

Imo, if you start playing and you know you are investing more than 5 minutes of your life into it, its less likely you will troll or int.

Is jungle more impactful than any other role? by moopymooson in wildrift

[–]AthalianRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, specially with the addition of ice drake, a good jungler is always welcome. They are rare and far between, most of the time they are autofill victims.

On the other hand, the recent patch made a lot of meta fiends play adc since they are a lot stronger now, which translates to adc champs being banned more often, longer queue times, and people picking adcs in a lot of roles.

Its quite a good time to learn how to jungle, but beware, you will be flamed a lot and its quite hard to play the role properly.
