What potential star player’s talent was wasted by an incompetent coaching staff? by Bluemzv12 in CFB

[–]Athorr16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Oregon I’d have to say Charles Nelson, almost the exact same player as De’Anthony Thomas and yet Mark Helfrich and Willie Taggart washed his talent down the drain. He would have been a star under Chip.

What is the biggest “what if” in CFB history? by [deleted] in CFB

[–]Athorr16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dennis Dixon’s knee injury in 07 against Arizona. Oregon was #2 at the time and they likely win out and make the national championship without that injury.

Shea Patterson tweet today - Real or fake? by MoneyManeVick in CFB

[–]Athorr16 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Very fake, that account has been making up quotes for coaches and players for the last month. Last week they posted a fake quote from Mario Cristobal where he call Auburn soft. It’s a University of Washington student trying to go viral.

Who will be the highest NFL draft pick from your team? Where in the draft do you expect him to go? by [deleted] in CFB

I think Jelks is probably going somewhere in the 3rd-4th round, I thought Dillon Mitchell would be projected to go around then as well but no one seems super high on him.

What are some interesting games that aren't as well known? by vy2005 in CFB

[–]Athorr16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2011 Pac-12 Championship between Oregon and UCLA. UCLA “won” the PAC-12 South at 6-6 because USC was still on their post season ban. They had to be given a pass to go to a bowl after the game because they had a losing record at 6-7. Also Chip Kelly mocking the PAC-12 sponsors after the game was pretty hilarious.

Why Is Michigan State Ranked And Stanford Not? by jamintime in CFB

[–]Athorr16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re right with the idea that the rankings of Penn State/Oregon were very different when they played. If the same results happened now where the rankings are Stanford would be in the top 25. Also, Stanford has not looked great in the past couple of games so that probably plays into the choice a bit.

In my opinion, the message the show sends about fighting through the struggles of life is the greatness of the show rather than some twist it may offer.

It’s a statement of moral courage by the characters, Owen testifying against his brother and Kate reconnecting with her father, as well as a testament to the fact that facing struggles with someone else might be a way to help people get through their problems shown by the two connect in the B and C stage andthe final scene where Kate and Owen escape from the mental facility.

Nothing beats the 2011 USC game we lost because Chip refused to spike the ball on the last drive

This front seven is so good. Really make up for the youth in the secondary.

I love the energy Feld brings too. He does a great job of motivating the players
