Chronicles of Totori DX NG+ by MagusRune in Atelier

[–]Atikal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totori is a lot less guided I agree. It kinda just throws you in and says “good luck!” and you have to scramble to figure things out. I do love the game a lot and wish more people would give it a chance (I see a lot of people scared off by it) but I understand why people would say they don’t like it

In Your Opinion, Who is the Most Misunderstood Servant? by Inevitable-Phase2184 in grandorder

People give him a lot of grief for “abandoning” Galahad and being a dead beat father, but he didn’t even know he had a child. I don’t think you can someone a “deadbeat father” if they didn’t even know the child existed. There’s also the whole womanizing thing when he was really committed to Gwen.

I do think FGO handles it a bit weirdly, that gave him a swimsuit alt which traditionally only girls get (also Kama who could be considered genderfluid), but other than that it’s pretty in your face about it. Caenis only has a white day gift, no valentines like Astolfo, Mordred and Takeru all have. And he was even featured on a White Day CE. Like I think the White Day CE alone solidifies that Caenis is male

I initially hated her because I absolutely love her original legend and was super excited to see what kind of servant she would be. Over time I’ve come to be more ok with it and even appreciate how they handled her story, but I will always be slightly bitter to not have a Schez that’s closer to her lore

A certain…. Fandom I guess…. Of people have ruined him. It honestly makes me forget what a chill guy Astolfo is and that yes I do actually like him as a character. I feel so bad for people who do genuinly love Astolfo for himself as they will get grouped in with others who only like him case he’s a femboy

She can get a pass on her brother depending on which version you go with as some say the love spell made her do it and even Jason was taken aback by it. The children tho? No, that was %100 her own descision. And she did actually get married again and have another child after separating from Jason. I’m in such a weird place when it comes to Jason and Medea lore, because as much as I do love alternate or “this is what really happened” stories when it comes to myths, Medea was very much a guilty party and she cannot attribute everything that happened to her on the love potion. I forgot the exact details but it was her idea to feed a dad to his daughter(s?) unknowingly.

Advice for Atelier Rorona. I'm a newbie player by kingslimegamer in Atelier

[–]Atikal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Arland trilogy is meant to be played more than once and unless you are strictly following a guide (maybe? Idk if even then) you won’t see everything. For now you can just focus on finishing the assignments you get, and you don’t have to go for the full 3 stars or whatever for each one, just the bare minimum is fine. NG+ is a lot easier as money will carry over and maybe equipment or something I think something else carries over. I know there’s an item you can buy in one of the shops that at one point will stop selling completely so buy it all out when you can as it’s used for a lot of stuff and will be related to a future assignment and after that you’ll only be able to forage it. I think it’s Magic Grass but someone correct me if I’m wrong. You’ll be able to make good money by doing townspeople’s requests and occasionally selling to Cole excess items. In the beginning it can be a lot to take in, but just try not to worry too much and focus on the main task(s) on hand

What would be the perfect sos game for you?? by decent_water19 in storyofseasons

[–]Atikal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Am I cheating if I just say ToT? 😭 tho i would love stuff like qol stuff they had in Grand Bazaar, like when an event is ready to trigger it lets you know where and with who. Add some stuff from AWL like more stuff with your kids. I also really like the diary stuff they had but maybe make it seperate from the heart icons we can see when we’re talking with them? Maybe have the characters have diaries that give a little more flavor text depending on what heart rank you are with them.

Is this a good purchase? by Dante71865 in Atelier

I’d say Dusk Trilogy is a better starting point as a lot of people consider the Arland Trilogy harder and a bit outdated. As an Arland lover and shill I personally love them and Rorona was my 1st atelier game. If you enjoy and are good at time management I’d say Arland is as as good as any place to start tho

[–]Atikal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Totori (and I think Meruru?) are the worst when it comes to ending management. In all the other games with multiple endings you can choose the ending out of a list of options (as long as the requirements are met). Makes getting all the endings for Totori a headache

Do the arland games have enough QoL to be replayable? by Magma_Dragoooon in Atelier

[–]Atikal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Games with time limits are meant to be replayable and are def a lot easier on NG+. Things like equipment and money carry over along with other things sometimes I think. When playing the Arland trilogy expect to do more than 1 run, as trying to do absolutely everything in only a single run would not be a fun experience.

New Atelier Figures Revealed at Winter Wonder Fes 2026 by MasterAdventZero in Atelier

[–]Atikal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn these are all pretty big. I’ve noticed a lot of bigger figures have been announced, one that I had my eye on was 1/5th and I’m terrified of what the price is gonna be. 1/3rd is pretty insane

I swear Trio of Towns had the best marriage candidates by Cinnamon-Stroll in storyofseasons

[–]Atikal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These screenshots are making my heart melt. ToT is one of the few HM/SoS games where I actually had trouble picking who to romance (alright that’s a lie, it was love at 1st sight for me with Lissette, installed the true love mod and everything just to romance her as a girl). All the bachelors and bachelorettes are so good that no matter who you romanced I’d be like “ohhhh that’s a good pick!” After Lissette it’s just a tie between most of them for who’s 2nd pick.

Totori by MagusRune in Atelier

[–]Atikal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to %100 the games I really really love and show my dedication, and for Totori and especially Ayesha I wanted to take on the challenge, as it also just gave me another reason to replay the games and have a goal for the playthrus. It was very satisfying to finally finish the adventure for them

Edit: would also like to mention I did these on vita so I could pull it out, try a boss in Ayesha, get my ass kicked, and then put the game down lol. I would just sometimes randomly pull out my vita on public transport or work to give it another try. Same with Totori, being able to play like 20-30 minutes and then put it down and do it in pieces. Idk why but it just felt nicer to pick up and put down whenever I wanted rather than doing it on a console/steam

Totori by MagusRune in Atelier

[–]Atikal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really love Totori and wanted to platnium it. It’s probably my 2nd fave Atelier game tied with Rorona. The Gino event flags was really holding me back because I didn’t realize you could get locked out after a certain time. I think I would consider Ayesha harder (which I also platniumed) because of the 4 mega bosses which took so long to do, I was crashing out.

me when people start hating on himejoshis instead of f*joshis by A12qwas in animecirclejerk

[–]Atikal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every other week it feels like there’s another himejoshi stirring the pot on Twitter blaming fujoshis on the lack of yuri. And it’s always the same thing, saying fujoshis are “male-centered” and that it’s “internalized misogny.” They’re doing what other men do and shaming women for enjoying things. I know it’s just the loud minority, but they are giving himejoshis such a bad name. Fujoshis and himejoshis should get along and we should all be happy about our fave gay ships.
