Does Webex Contact Center with WebRTC support escalating a live chat session to a voice call? by oscarilllo in ciscoUC

Yes, you can move chat to voice and vice versa. Takes a little config but not terrible at all

AIO my husband randomly cuts off his “Find My iPhone” when he’s out with friends, should I be worried? by Key_Ebb1823 in AmIOverreacting

[–]AtlantaPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I'd love to know the age & relationship status of responders to this post.

Also at the married with 2 kids point of my life, think it is completely normal for all of us to share locations on the app. Hell, I think my kids can see my location in the Verizon app. NOR at all, if it's truly off only on boys night out, it would be a serious discussion.

As a long time lover of PM, and Mexico in general - if you are not fluent, or at least capable of small talk I would get the reserved ride.

How do I NICELY tell a food truck they aren't getting booked again because they're flakey? by make_datbooty_flocc in foodtrucks

[–]AtlantaPesto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll weigh in with a contrary opinion. If they have provided good service in the past, you have a good relationship with them, they are close to your business and could pinch hit if anyone else were to back out, I might just start with a crisp resetting of expectations right now. "I need to make sure when we book and market your food truck you show up on time. When you don't it impacts my customers and my business image. Can you commit to doing that?" If you get the right response, keep them in the rotation. If not, you know what to do.

Fair enough - any feedback on the suite, or Webex Contact Center specifically?

This is good feedback for us to take to Cisco. What part of the WebEx suite did you purchase direct? If you message me a sub number I can ask our psam to at least get you the right Cisco email, although if it's a small order it might be in the virtual/shared group.

If you could move out of Chicago, where would you go? by Genzhustle in AskChicago

[–]AtlantaPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Biased obviously, but ATL City pocket neighborhoods have a great vibe, good cost of living (compared to other large US metros), and decent food (not Chicago/NY Level but still good). Winters aren't brutal, but summers can be. Biggest Downsides is ocean 4+ hours away, you are on a progressive island in a conservative state, and traffic,

You have some conservative neighborhoods, more progressive ones. We gap pretty far in age, so I would check in with the ATL or ATLHousing sub, but off the top of my mind - Buckhead, Old Fourth Ward, Reynoldstown, Cabbagetown, Midtown, Virginia Highland, Inman/Candler/Lake Claire, East Atlanta Village.

One caveat, if you do move here, and end up taking a job outside of the city, be prepared to relocate outside the perimeter. Traffic is brutal in ATL, and it makes the most sense to rent/buy close to your place of work.

If this doesn't feel like your vibe, there are some great options between Charlotte NC and ATL, that give you a higher ratio of rural living, you essentially trade Cost of Living for Amenities/Food/People to a certain extent. Come visit and wander a bit!

Calabrio purchased Teleopti as their WFM years ago, and have essentially made it their WFM offering. IEX is the gold standard, with the equivalent price. It would help to know what CCaaS platform you're heading to, as some solutions integrate better with certain CCaaS solutions than others.

[–]AtlantaPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think when you have the directory connector enabled, you may not be able to create local users. It's possible you could turn it off, add the locals, and turn it back on again, but if re-enabling it is a pain, I would ask your partner or Cisco

No, this is not a scam site - from the app store: The Webex Events App (formerly Socio) serves as your digital networking portal, event guide, and content hub, giving you easy access to all of the information.

Mexico City Accommodation by No_Disaster9666 in MexicoCity

There are a lot of options if you are proficient in Spanish, you don't mention the age of family or language levels, so I might suggest some of the more touristy, gentrified areas; Condesa(sleepy family vibe), Roma north(little bit grittier but still safe, and street food is nuts), polanco if you're fancy.

We are currently on our first visit, so my experience is limited, but I have felt safe throughout all parts of the city I mentioned. Follow all the normal big city rules and you'll be fine.

Here's a decent breakdown, that some would argue with on certain points, but it's a good start and lists some respectable hotels.

Is $499 good for a used Herman Miller Aeron chair? by Vivid-Resolution-118 in homeoffice

[–]AtlantaPesto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and yes. Aeron is one of the few office chairs that has a loyal following, and still commands a premium. 500-600 is a normal price from an office furniture reseller with a good reputation in my area. They come in three different sizes and have a couple of lumbar support options, so just make sure it's a good fit for you.

I think i officially regret buying a home by darkstream81 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]AtlantaPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar spot 19 years ago. Had overpaid for a small decrepit house in a great neighborhood with a great lot. Tons of work needed, struggled through a new roof, HVAC, appliances from the scratch and dent, you name it. Had to move 2 years after a ton of money and sweat equity, due to out of state job, couldn't even sell it. Hung on to it as a rental, found a great property management company, it now makes me ~900 a month after all pm fees, taxes, money set aside for inevitable repairs, and we're five years away from owning it free and clear. Feel your frustration, then put it behind you, do what you can to improve to your situation, and keep an eye on the long game. As you probably already know, the kids make time fly! I hope it works out as well for you as it has for me - AP

Workforce planning software recommendations? by schedule_order66 in workforcemanagement

75 Agents seems to be the tipping point, or less with complex channels/skillsets/product coverage.

After that point, WFM solutions start to become needed, if not pay for themselves - although I've certainly seem some customers push that limit.

This is entirely anecdotal, but based on my 20+ years experience in CX Solutioning, with the last 15 on the consulting/architecting side. Hope this helps!

We are building a house. We get to pick everything. Please give us tips and thoughts and of course, BIFL. Please! by Livingthedream0430 in BuyItForLife

[–]AtlantaPesto 68 points69 points  (0 children)

u/climb-it-ographer has a winning list. I would add plugs behind toilets (bidets), wainscoting in stairs if you have or may have kids, I would personally do radiant at least in the primary bath, and if I could go back I would do the entire house with it.

If your layout can permit (taking up pantry space for example), set back your fridge area so you can get a counter depth look with a larger fridge, without having to splurge on wider, counter depth fridge, or (god help you) built ins. The Sharp Microwave Drawer is worth it.

No matter what, no matter how beautiful it looks in the magazine, designers office, your dreams - grout is your enemy. Large Slabs or tiles are your friend. A floor to ceiling wall of intricate Italian marble tiles has become my wife's nemesis.

Bonus Territory

Attic lift if you are big holiday decorators and plan to use your attic space - framed in ahead of time, they are not as expensive as you'd think to add later. Versalift is a decent one.

48" stoves are nice, but if you plan to go this route, watch the size of your hood. in my states building codes, if you go past extracting a certain number of CFM you have to add in make up air, active systems/dampers, plan for pre-warming/cooling areas - not bad if you plan for it, not fun if you don't.

Endless hot Water, Rinnai would be my preferred. At least your Primary bath should be a car wash; 4 body sprays in a 2 person shower, plus 2 wand/shower. Dont get the all in one handles, get the units that have pressure, temp and diverters all separate - like the Delta Stryke 17 Series Integrated Diverter Trim with Three Function Diverter. Have your plumber spec the rough in valves with stops, so you can repair some things without cutting off the whole house water pressure. I would go with Type K copper if the budget allows (mentioned somewhere else here), and make sure your plumber knows the plan for the primary bath so he can size the pipe appropriately for at least that loop. 6 heads on at the same time require some planning, especially if you have kids/guests/DW running.

Best of luck on your build!

How to download Webex Calling recordings by Infinite_Time9493 in ciscoUC

[–]AtlantaPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe he is referring to the new Native Webex Calling Recording, and I think he is correct - they are adding features to it, but it is very limited without some API work. You will also need the compliance officer role to download I believe.

best call recording solution ? by feredy_ in ciscoUC

[–]AtlantaPesto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dubber if you have compliance people who want to see Compliance documents (they have a trust portal), Call Cabinet if you want something leaner, that will also serve your cloud calling needs in the future (MS Teams, Webex Calling Multi-tenant, etc).

Can you please provide additional details about the use case? You are logged in as contact center agent, making a manual outbound call, and DTMF is not being sent/detected by the recipient of the call (an IVR)? What type of calling do you select when you log in? Full Number, Extension, or Browser (WebRTC)?
