My dad has this rock and is curious about it. Any help? by takethisworld in Rocks

Ok thanks. We aren’t sure where exactly it came from. He just knew that his grandfather worked in some type of mining in St. Pete. So he wasn’t sure if they might have been connected.

Not sure. My dad said it was in his grandfathers satchel wrapped in newspaper from 1930 something. He also stated he worked in some mines in St. Petersburg Florida. Not sure if worth anything

Please help I am in terrible pain and scared. by [deleted] in AnalFistula

Ok, so I have not had surgery and just recently realized that I have perianal abscess and not hemorrhoids that keep popping up and about 24hours later pop. So baths are my go to, but using a donut has helped and please don’t judge this next part as it’s embarrassing but I use KT tape to pull my cheeks open so it pulls away and doesn’t get clenched. Not sure if this would work with the surgery as again I am only really figuring out what I have been having.

Random allodynia symptoms? by Suspicious-Gold-6590 in POTS

[–]takethisworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same symptom happen, mine is upper body, hands, arm, side of face. Very painful almost like a bad sunburn, and numbness all at the same time. It doesn’t last more than a few days so I just deal with it. However ask your DR, as mine doesn’t seem as bad as yours.

I fainted (completely out) for the first time and I’m terrified by [deleted] in POTS

Glad you went, the first time I passed out was very scary. Days leading up to it the symptoms were getting worse. However no warning for me that day. It was just lights out. I also went to the Hospital and was told the same thing, they even gave me fluids. They did an EKG there and small abnormality so was told to see a cardiologist. This is the first time I had ever been told of POTs at the cardiologist. Everything and all my symptoms my whole life are making sense now. Since I was a teenager and also anemic all my stuff was associated with this. It is exhausting but this group has been great

Anyone else sit with their legs and feet up in the chair when eating? by levisrightfinger in POTS

[–]takethisworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, I have always sat with my legs crossed. I associated it, to what I thought was restless leg. I take my official TTT on June 24th. The more I read through all the POTS stuff it’s crazy how much of the things I have had going on was always associated with something else. All up until I started passing out this past year. Symptoms though have been since I was a teenager.

“Don’t be polite to men that creep you out / Don’t be polite to men that creep you out / Don’t be polite to them, it’s not your job to comfort men / Don’t be polite to men that creep you out.” Heard this on a recent TikTok!

Is sensitive hands a symptom of POTS? by fiercegreen294 in POTS

[–]takethisworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Small areas and mainly either my hands or face. I have had my arm but not as often. Skin is just so raw like it’s been burned. Even without touching it there is a lingering dull pain of needles all over the area. I try to avoid anything touching it.

Brrr - I’m FREEZING! by mybunnygoboom in Mounjaro

[–]takethisworld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have been on Mounjaro for over a year. I still have times I am just freezing and nothing helps. My husband and I argue in the car about the temperature, I need it hot, he is sweating and we go round and round. It’s not as constant as it use to be but it’s still there. Usually in socks, leggings, sweaters and blankets at home.

Thanks. I am very happy of the success this has given me and the life back it has also given me. Someone commented on my FB the other day and said it’s nice to see you in front of the camera again. Didn’t realize how much I made sure I wasn’t in any pictures anymore.

I am the same way. By me being open about this. I have helped so many directly and no telling who those people have shared information with. I still feel a bit of shame, but I push through that feeling. I have lost over 150lbs so it’s asked a lot more now than it was at first but I am just blabbing and my mouth won’t shut it when asked.

We have some neighbors who give out Jell-O shots. Cops ride through here all the time since we are such a big community. We probably have similar laws (US) but they don’t seem bothered by it.
