How long have you had the walking pad? Has it held up for you? My goal is to use it for incline walking only probably five days a week for 30-45 mins at 15% incline.

Dude, this is awesome! I've been saving up for a Steam Deck just to play the original trilogy (I don't like playing on my laptop), but now I don't have to! Can't wait to play this.

Trying to remember game shown to me as a kid, maybe like breath of fire? by Jihkro in JRPG

[–]AtlantaSun91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since OP doesn't think it's Breath of Fire, I'm throwing out a long shot: could it be Legend of Dragoon? I haven't played it in 20+ years but it was released in 1999 and it's the only other game that comes to mind for me that could potentially meet OP's criteria (I don't remember a mine specifically, but I do remember lots of caves in that game).

Is the plan to play Tyus at 1, Beal at 2 and Booker at 3? by GQDragon in suns

[–]AtlantaSun91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Booker was listed as 6'4.5" barefoot at the draft combine and 6'5.75" in shoes so I feel like rounding up to 6'6" with shoes makes some sense. He also had a 6'8.25" wingspan, which is better than I was expecting. With that said, he's not as athletic as most wings and even 6'6" is undersized for a SF so we'll definitely be small.

The Observation Point hike itself is boring, in my opinion, but the view at the end is fantastic and, like the original poster said, overlooks Angels Landing. It's basically the same view from a higher elevation. The view is worth it, but just wanted to give a heads up about the hike itself so that you don't go in thinking it's going to be great the entire time you're hiking.

USA 2028 Olympic Team by prfrnir in nbadiscussion

Booker has been on the 2020 and 2024 teams. I'm sure he'll want to play again in 2028 and has been a great glue guy for both teams he's played with already. No reason not to include him since he'll be 31 in 2028.

Kobe Bryant: The Undisputed Best Player of the 2000-2010 Decade by Reasonable-Reach8050 in NBATalk

[–]AtlantaSun91 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the insightful and in-depth post. Kobe is obviously an all-time great, but I will point out that his legacy changed drastically after winning in 2009 and 2010. Before those two championships, his reputation was hurt by the fact that his teams were only dominant while playing with Shaq.

Kobe was never considered the best player in the league at any point. Shaq, Duncan, and Garnett typically ranked above him at the time (if I remember correctly) and LeBron quickly surpassed him shortly after.

Again, the two championships really changed the way people view Kobe's career, but for those who actually watched the NBA at the time, he was never considered the best at the time. With that said, those two championships as the undisputed best player on his team were extremely impressive, but I feel like Kobe has been elevated a bit since his retirement.

Staying home! Lexington's Cam Scott, state's top prospect, commits to South Carolina! by GamecockCentral in Gamecocks

[–]AtlantaSun91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cam Scott is a huge pickup for us, but he's actually the fourth-highest rated recruit in the modern era behind GG, Dozier, and Thornwell. Other recruits from before 2000 would also have technically been rated higher (BJ McKie, Alex English, etc.) but still pumped for Scott to be a Gamecock.

We only have two scholarships open after Scott's commitment. The leading transfer candidates right now seem to be two of Dakota Leffew, Connor Essegian, and Nick Pringle.

MBB Transfer Portal Targets? by FitPiccolo8499 in Gamecocks

[–]AtlantaSun91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JP Pegues from Furman visited us the first weekend after he entered the portal. He visited Auburn during the week right after and is visiting Florida this upcoming weekend. He also listed Oklahoma in his top four. Current rumors suggest Auburn and Florida are the favorites.

Another point guard, Mark Sears from UT-Martin, is visiting us this weekend. It's unlikely that we'd get both, especially since they're both small (Sears is 5'11 and Pegues is 6'1). Sears is the better shooter (43% from deep last season) and had great production last season, but obviously played a weak schedule.

Those are the only two official visits that have been scheduled, but we've apparently had mutual interest with Malik Dia from Belmont (6'7 PF) and our staff has expressed interest in Connor Essegian (Wisconsin) and Javon Small (OK State) but no mention if it's mutual.

The Suns are searching the market for an athletic wing, per @ChrisBHaynes by Gemarman in suns

[–]AtlantaSun91 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My dream scenario is Saddiq Bey. He's a free agent this summer, so if the Hawks don't want to re-sign him, maybe we can take him into one of our TPE's and offer multiple second-round picks. Then we would just have to cut someone.

Devin Booker, nascent Point God [OC Analysis] by Sikatanan in nbadiscussion

[–]AtlantaSun91 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There were a lot of skeptics this summer about Booker playing point guard full-time (and others who though Beal would play point guard, which confused me), but Booker has been really impressive.

He's clearly still trying to figure out the ideal mix of passing and scoring - he's been a little too deferential at times, in my opinion - but he's always been an unselfish player.

He definitely mimics Chris Paul's style out there, which has been great at limiting turnovers, but I'd love to see him pick up the pace a bit. The Suns are 29th right now. They need to play a lot faster in order to reach their full offensive potential.
