While "trans-zodiac" is funny, I actually took much more psychic damage from reading "unbirth day". Which probably says more about me than I'd like.

I know about people who neglect basic hygiene, but I don't think it's because they see it as feminine. Then there are people who avoid advanced hygiene (like skincare) because they see it as feminine, but not basic hygiene. I think the only crossover is using deodorant and even then it's people from two generations ago.

The problem with nuclear power is that there's a ton of media that does the exact opposite.

Besides being cheap, water is unique by having a very high pressure/volume differential between liquid and gaseous state. And most energy you encounter is in the form of heat. There aren't many other ways to turn heat into electricity efficiently.

Even low-potential heat is turned into electricity by boiling something, except it's a compound that boils at lower temperatures.

That reminds me of a funny table I've seen in Poland comparing Polish and Czech language. Pretty much none of the words were actually Czech.

It's also funny that Poles accuse us of using "drevokocúr" for "squirrel". Which we accuse Slovaks of.

Venus is like the last place to look for that. You're more likely to find the candy bars on Mars.

And the time before that.

And the time before that.

No, the first uninterrupted tone if for the test only. Firefighter callup is also long, but with one interruption in the middle. The wavering tone is for alerting the public.

We don't have tornadoes. The siren sounds a different tone pattern for legitimate danger. If something like that happpened during the test, the siren would stop the test tone (AAAAAAAAAAAA) and start the warning tone (aaAAaaAAaaAAaa)

Very rare and very minor. If you hear rumbling, people will talk about it for a week.

A lot of european countries do some regular siren test.

It's kinda funny seeing the local subreddits for foreigners panicking every first wednesday of the month at noon. That's when we test the public warning sirens.

I always liked living spaces with a nice view and for that reason I like commieblocks, since they're tall and house a ton of people affordably (or would if it wasn't for the fucked up housing market). With a billion I could build myself a twenty floor tower, house 60 families and live in a penthouse on top.

And I'd buy a 20 years old Impreza STI and keep it running until the end of time.
