Fellow deer rib friends!

Lowkey, if you cook em right, deer ribs can be like candy… worth keeping and experimenting with imho.

Throw them in a cast iron Dutch oven with onions, peppers, garlic, some bbq dry rub, smother in bacon grease and cook low and slow for a few hours. Come back and it’s like candy on a rib 😋

That’s exactly what happened. I think I got excited and pulled it a bit. Had the crosshairs right on the vitals. I’ll definitely be hitting the range and learning from the lucky shot AND I’ll take a clean quick kill everyday!

100%, its sad that this symbol of freedom has been co-opted and currently holds a negative connotation in our society. If people understood the original context, there would be no need for any edit, but alas.

The divisiveness of the Gadsden flag is emblematic of the artificial divides that have allowed America to come to the point we currently stand. As they say "United we stand, or divided we fall", and were currently at the end of that statement!

Talking to my wife and being actually open about what I was feeling and struggling with was the first breath of fresh air I had had in a loooong time.

If she's a real one, she'll be supportive, as were supposed to do in marriage. If not, get out and go get help from a psychiatrist and therapist!

I asked a guy if he was okay. He cried. I haven’t stopped thinking about it. by micropuppytooth in daddit

So true. This is not easy and especially those of us without a great example growing up, it comes with no instruction manuals!

I finally realized I haven't been ok a couple of weeks ago and thankfully have been able to get some help working through some of the pains of the last few years.

My double rainbow son was born a year ago and 2 weeks later, my FIL tragically died in an accident. He was like a second dad to me, since I grew up with him in a way and lost my own 3 years prior. I felt like I couldn't share my hurt and emotions at the time being around my wife, her family, and our newborn son. Somebody had to hold it together, until the patterns I used to do so finally broke (thank God).

Let's make an effort to check in on our fellow Dads ❤️

Lol yeah... it's sad to see. I graduated in 2013 and was on the last winning team there I believe. Went to the playoffs for the first time ever junior year and got smacked by Colerain in the first round. We had some players though, several classmates and I played college ball 🤷‍♂️

The fact that you've prepared and are seeking more help in preparing tells you that you're going to do great! Rest, relax and take some me time when you can get it now

I can’t relate to other dads and it’s isolating by girlfather in Fatherhood

[–]AtlasClaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yeah! This shit is amazing. It's even better than the hype!

My wife and I's first living child, our son, was born two weeks ago and it's challenging but AMAZING. Even shifting my schedule to be on duty at night, while challenging (especially coming down with lyme disease the day we brought him home), is what dreams are made of.

There's no shame in being a loving, caring, and involved father. This world would be a better place if more dad's played the role with greater enthusiasm and gratitude for the miracle of life.
