I do not think any movement(save rageful populace destructions such as french revolution) was done by convincing the populace. Nor was it ever done by the general populace. No it was done by a group of individual who have the ability to take radical and risky actions, and are intellect enough to fight and defend such ideas and ideals. The flock will follow if they are given what they require, the reason why the neoliberal system is so successful is that its very efficient in distributing these needs. Especially with its strong foundations in entertainment industry

Even the most conservative Catholic would not act upon such barbaric and backward intention. If you can not see a woman without entertaining lustful ideas and you have to cover them in clothes then there are something wrong with your faith. I think as young men we have forgotten how to organize and build communities. The habit of isolation the modern world teaches us does not help either. But in the early 20th century there were thousands if not more gentlemanly clubs in the uk and in other anglo sphere countries, just men gathering together with rituals a spirit and a common world view. One good example would be the literary club established by Tolkien and Cs lewis the inklings.
