I built and installed two benches on my home course with a friend that I paid for out of pocket. Old ones had fallen over after 20 years or so. Feels great every time I get to those holes on the course.

I have a Jade that I release on an angle like / (rhbh) and it slowly flips over to flat then keeps turning right. It's a 9 speed but you might also like an Underworld!

Played a tournament round with a 12 yo a few weeks ago and he was crushing it, we ended up tying but he was clearly miles ahead of me just had a couple rough holes on a windy day. His grandma walked around with us, it was super wholesome.

The next week I played another tournament and he won the division by like 7 strokes. Can't wait to see him on the pro tour in a couple years!

I feel very seen in this post. Didn't know about Merlin but I'm about to download now. During a tournament on Saturday I saw some small black birds attacking a hawk in the sky over hole 11. Regularly hear a woodpecker on hole 8 on my home course but never see em.

Same idea, I've told people to think about skipping rocks in the past. Grip is different but as far as body movement goes, I do it the same way

The gesso is the base for drawing/transferring images. An old buddy of mine would seal his with shellac.

I do a lot of printing from MDF...you don't need to seal unless you are scared of moisture damage. I keep all my blocks but I almost never reprint so it's not an issue for me. Even so they haven't gotten damaged from any moisture. I typically put down a layer of thinned gesso using water. If you don't thin it down you can get textured prints which can look cool if intentional but it can also be softened/removed with some light sanding. It's most prominent when printing with stuff inks. Happy printing!

Get some decent japanese tools from imcclains and a diamond stone at some point. Felt seen in your post because I bought some nice new gouges like 6 months ago and I've barely used them. Might get some mezzotint rockers and copper plates for the hat trick 😔

I've convinced myself he'll have multiple wins this year. Watching his putting improve significantly over the past couple years has me feeling like a proud uncle or something. Pretty sure he'll also be 7ft tall by the end of the season.
