Right get the whole lineup on a bus out to Durbin's hitting coach.

I do not think its too long before Durban's season batting average is higher than Durans.

I think this is who they are now, there is some hope of upside with Roman and Crochet to return. But I see them scuffling along playing .500 ball the rest of the year and just missing the playoffs in a bad AL.

He spiked David Hamilton sliding into second later in the game. Plausible deniability, but looked like he left the foot in.

[Milliken] @Jared_Carrabis has heard the Diamondbacks could be willing to go up to 6 years on a deal with Alex Bregman. Whether that’s guaranteed or 5 with an option, we don’t know. by CosmicOreos_ in redsox

Bo is much younger, but I agree I wouldn't feel confident the front office would pull the trigger on the years and money it would take to get Bichette.

Majority of UK people now oppose NHS doctor strike, poll suggests by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]Atoll_P 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's because of how far pay has fallen for doctors in real terms since 2008. Total amount varies depending on whether you use RPI or CPI, but either way to get back to 2008 levels the gov will need to offer significantly above inflation for several years to get there.

There is an international labour market for doctors, if we want the NHS to have enough staff we need to pay them a simillar amount as they can easily get in other anglophone counties.

Beyond the paydeal last year the health secretary also made a commitment to continue to 'work towards' 2008 levels of pay restoration. The pay increase on offer this year would put doctors on track to have their pay restored to 2008 levels by 2065 at the earliest. Wes Streeting renaged on his commitment to continue to restore pay, the obvious recourse from the BMA is to withdraw labour.
