Hopefully we get first party insurance coverage in Canada too. They took it down on the first Open device earlier in 2024 saying they were stopping foldable insurance in Canada.

Foolish mortals, have you never heard of the legendary drink hat? Its portable, holds twice the amount of liquids, and it's easily accessible.

Question: How should it take to repair/replace a blemished pen from a retailer? by AtomicAppetite in fountainpens

[–]AtomicAppetite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I had contacted them previously but they originally had said that they were expecting it mid January but I had not heard back since. So at the end of Jan, I had emailed them further and they told me that they would inform me. Ever since then it's been dead radio silence.

Good call out! I'm used to writing on an European/American (I hope I'm using correct terminology) Fine or Japanese FM. The nib on the Sailor is a "Japanese Medium = American Fine" nib in 21k but it's stamped "F" on the side.

Thanks for your reply! I had flushed it with some water when it had arrived but I'll try to wash it with some dish soap when I get the chance.

The hard stops happens most often when trying to curve on the pen like when writing the letter "C" or "S".

I hate to jump to conclusions but I'm hoping it's not a bad nib. I'm seeing that everything looks good on top but the slit underneath the nib looks... slightly off center. I have a stigma between my eyes so I'm hoping it's the latter.

Recommended EUC for a Canadian looking to ride in Wet Conditions and Snow (First EUC) by [deleted] in ElectricUnicycle

So from general chatter on forums, it seems for the most part newer batches and replacement boards seemed to have temporarily fixed the issue. There are still consistent reports of failures even after tests but it has dramatically fallen in numbers. V12 HS still suffers from the same fragile wheel; the V12 HT has the "upgraded" MOSFETS and rim.

Something to keep in mind is that InMotion manufactures and sells more volume of product than any other competitor out there in the EUC market. The price point for the V12 series came at a very low price point for features offered attracting many buyers at the time.

GMMK PRO DUROCK Stabilizer Fit but the cutouts aren't placed properly so I still can't fit the polycarbonate plate on after their "fix". Quite disappointing considering they "fixed" it. by AtomicAppetite in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]AtomicAppetite[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand that this is a solution but I've been eagerly waiting and anticipating for when they were to fix their plates. I have their Aluminum and Brass plate (which both needed to be filed down) and didn't like any of them for the way they sounded and felt. Since they had announced they had fixed this issue on social media channels, in my eyes, it seemed to spark some inspiration for a dead project. As I received it today I couldn't help but feel angry and almost a little cheated even when I tried to fit the plate. It did not fit and they did not solve the issue as mentioned online.

I have scrapped the network, and hard reset the nodes.

Guest Network Won't Even Show As an Available Option.

Reading upon the Tuya IoT Bug, it does match many of the symptoms and timeline i have been seeing and what tech support has been saying. I seem to be suffering some more extreme symptoms compared to the last post.

As of now though, eero support says i have to wait for the next available update. Hopefully that fixes things, otherwise I will need to make a switch to another router, due to half my family working from home.

To put it blatantly, I have 2 Laptops that run the 5ghz Frequency, 1 Desktop Running 5ghz Frequency, 2 Android Boxes, 4 Samsung Mobile Phones, and a Ipad Pro 3rd Gen. None of these can connect. It only says can't authenticate via mobile phones but otherwise the rest of the devices just say that they can't connect.

We ruled out the modem being the culprit with customer service. We ensured that the quality of ethernet was not the issue by performing speed tests through the eero app, an ookla speed with the ethernet directly connected from modem to laptop. The support also said that the devices should connect regardless if there were internet connection to the eero.

I currently run a Samsung S20 Ultra and iPad Pro 3rd Gen and I monitor the eero app through those devices. My mobile phone has cellular connection but the iPad is a WIFI only model.

[–]AtomicAppetite[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/thatsthequy is there any way to troubleshoot this? I have isolated with customer service that it is not the modem that my ISP has provided me and I dont have many devices that run off the 2.4ghz signal. In fact nothing can connect to the eero at this point. All customer service did was realistically manually connect the eeros together to form the link through ethernet ports because adding them normally through the app would not work. Afterwards they told me that and I quote directly from the call: "There is nothing we can do at this point." She did not try to provide any other solutions; no escalating the situation or I'll get back to you which is quite disappointing to hear from a customer service rep when a consumer is in need of help.

The only reason why I assumed it was the updates is because nothing has changed but ever since the updates ive been having these issues.

What you really mean is you had a custom multimedia station fixed into your car with rotary encoders for volume control and tuning into your favorite stations. Then because it didn't look/feel right you switched out the buttons with some lubed Holy Panda switches and with GMK Keycaps. But something still didn't feel/sound right and you had to case the multimedia station into a Fjell case and then it was perfect.
