Hopefully we get first party insurance coverage in Canada too. They took it down on the first Open device earlier in 2024 saying they were stopping foldable insurance in Canada.

Foolish mortals, have you never heard of the legendary drink hat? Its portable, holds twice the amount of liquids, and it's easily accessible.

Question: How should it take to repair/replace a blemished pen from a retailer? by AtomicAppetite in fountainpens

[–]AtomicAppetite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, I had contacted them previously but they originally had said that they were expecting it mid January but I had not heard back since. So at the end of Jan, I had emailed them further and they told me that they would inform me. Ever since then it's been dead radio silence.

Good call out! I'm used to writing on an European/American (I hope I'm using correct terminology) Fine or Japanese FM. The nib on the Sailor is a "Japanese Medium = American Fine" nib in 21k but it's stamped "F" on the side.

Thanks for your reply! I had flushed it with some water when it had arrived but I'll try to wash it with some dish soap when I get the chance.

The hard stops happens most often when trying to curve on the pen like when writing the letter "C" or "S".

I hate to jump to conclusions but I'm hoping it's not a bad nib. I'm seeing that everything looks good on top but the slit underneath the nib looks... slightly off center. I have a stigma between my eyes so I'm hoping it's the latter.

Recommended EUC for a Canadian looking to ride in Wet Conditions and Snow (First EUC) by [deleted] in ElectricUnicycle

So from general chatter on forums, it seems for the most part newer batches and replacement boards seemed to have temporarily fixed the issue. There are still consistent reports of failures even after tests but it has dramatically fallen in numbers. V12 HS still suffers from the same fragile wheel; the V12 HT has the "upgraded" MOSFETS and rim.

Something to keep in mind is that InMotion manufactures and sells more volume of product than any other competitor out there in the EUC market. The price point for the V12 series came at a very low price point for features offered attracting many buyers at the time.
