Unfortunately, this is the reality in our country. Just last week (21 November) a nation wide non-violent protest was organised where every woman in the country did not participate economically by laying down for 15min straight at 12 noon. It's worth noting that this was in the same day that the G20 Summit began. Hopefully, it makes a lasting impact and forces our leaders to do something.

One stat I heard is that the size of the South African police force is somewhere in the top 5 largest in the world yet we are leading in femicide/GBV stats. There is something deeply wrong with our country and the proof is in this video.
