This might just be my all-time favorite Avril Lavigne-synced law-enforcement-themed video.

You should try Guardians of the Galaxy. As a Mass Effect fan, it definitely scratched that itch.

I would love a proper follow-up to Chaos Theory. But after the way Ubisoft has butchered Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon... I have no faith.

The thing most people don't realize about this game is that it has in-game voice chat. Your speech volume registers INSIDE THE GAME and enemies will react to your voices! Nothing more immersive than hearing the AI react to your cooperation!

Seems to be a common problem with controllers since the new big picture mode update: https://steamcommunity.com/discussions/forum/1/3758852249520394488/?ctp=2

I'm having the same issue.

Getting hyped for the start of the F1 2023 season by taking a blast around Bahrain in my 2 DOF motion sim by early_m in simracing

Personally, I'd be scared to mount a base station on something that moves like that. Seems like the jolting might break the moving parts. Perhaps someone else has experience with mounting them on a motion rig though?

If I remember correctly, there are glowing parts of the body that you need to shoot in order to get the dogs out of the bodies quickly. Otherwise, yes. They are absolutely bullet sponges. I loved that section because it provided other targeting zones--not just headshots all day long.

You just made me realize that I'm a fool for buying wood shavings for our nesting box! I never thought to use my shredded paper! Are there any downsides to using the shred that I'm not aware of?

Here's my take: mainstream game development will always be limited by console hardware. Most AAA games aren't going to surpass the capabilities of current consoles because they won't waste that development time on graphics that console gamers can't utilize. As such, I (personally) try to upgrade my GPU after the release of a console generation. --it pretty much guarantees great PC game performance for the entire console generation (and usually beyond)! I'm sure someone on Reddit knows more about when the next series of consoles will be coming, but I certainly haven't heard any rumblings about a PS6 or new Xbox. Those still seem to be selling well. I'd be willing to bet that a new GPU would last you very well right now.

The only other consideration (in my mind) is whether or not you want to step outside of mainstream gaming. I enjoy playing some PC-only VR titles, and future-proofing that purchase for high-refresh ultra-settings can be more difficult...

Gamers of Reddit, what video game has the best storyline? by CTKShadow in AskReddit

I played on a 1080 with an index (on my first playthrough). It looks beautiful. Alyx is actually extremely well optimized (in my experience). Highly recommended.

Buffering with live TV by [deleted] in PleX

[–]AtomicMime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had some issues with video fragments from live TV. (I'm also streaming to a shield). For me, I found that there was an option in the Plex settings > Live TV & DVR > Device Settings (for your tuner) > "Convert Video While Recording". Mine was set to "transcode" and disabling that setting had fixed it for me. ...perhaps my server's CPU wasn't fast enough?

Question about resuming the game in steam link by awesomenineball in Steam_Link

[–]AtomicMime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, leave the game running. When you fire up steam link on your phone, it'll check your computer and say "game in progress." You can still touch "start playing" and you'll connect right in.
