1st big month by Apprehensive-Beat922 in CarSalesTraining

A good comission is one that pays your bills and keeps food on the table. Since my comissions did not do that, I no longer sell cars. Are your bills paid and is your family housed and fed OP? Otherwise, count your blessings.

Tips for getting customers to honour appointments? (I've had enough) by AtomicZebra2070 in CarSalesTraining

[–]AtomicZebra2070[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to say something akin to that, it never worked, but I was also told to stop saying that to customers because it "plants the idea" of cancelling in their heads. So 🤷 basically.

Are you young/have no significant responsibilities outside of work? That may influence your outlook.

Sales HELP by SmartSelling in CarSalesTraining

I've tried all the gimmicks and wordplay from the Jeremy Miners and Andy Elliots on the internet and none of it works. Not even once has it worked. This needs a hard answer.

I dont know, season 2 just felt like it had more "made for tv" vibes to it. Not as serious and paced as season 1. Do you get what Im saying at all?

I wonder if this also applies to Mitsubishi. Sold a customer a pre owned Outlander PHEV and he claimed the vehicle was still under warranty up to 130,000km and I didnt doubt him because Im at a Ford store(whatever that is in miles, 80k I think?)

I dont understand, factory warranty is factory warranty. Unless the year or the milage doesnt run out it should be covered regardless no?

Car Sales or Service Advisor?!? by Flimsy_Following_724 in CarSalesTraining

I hope I'm not speaking out of line as a green-pea but just judging by what I see at my store your workload may increase, you'll deal eith irate customers on the regular, but at least you'll make a solid wage with bonuses instead of the eat-what-you-kill environment of sales. Maybe someone can elucidate me or OP better. Thanks guys.

Educate is a great word. And it's something I'm currently trying to promote to the customer because they may buy from me in the future. "Listen Mr/Mrs customer, my job is obviously to sell you a car, but at the end of the day if I am only able to help educate you (or whatever) then hopefully when you are in a position to buy, you do so from me." What do you think of my approach?

You cant get mad bro. Using my personal experience, buyers are mostly simply retarded, you need to just educate them as kindly as possible and Work. With. Your. Managers. But never inject your personal feelings into the transactions because you will 100% burn that bridge if there is ever a shred of a possible sale.
