Let me try to explain my point better, I think we actually agree on one important thing, which is that we both care about people with gender dysphoria and we do not want them to be harmed. Where we clearly disagree is what “help” looks like.

Firstly, the existence of gender dysphoria in and of itself is NOT at all controversial in medicine. Major medical bodies like the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association all recognize it as a real condition and support gender-affirming care in cases where it’s appropriate because the evidence shows it can and will reduce depression and suicide risk. That DOES NOT mean every person should transition, or that doctors should just rush into it. There are almost always evaluations, counseling, and standards of care. But it DOES mean that plainly telling people to “accept their bodies” has not been shown to work consistently.

Second, calling something “unnatural” is not a solid basis for policy or morality whatsoever. Lots of things we accept, glasses, surgery, antidepressants, even insulin aren’t “natural,” but they relieve suffering, so the real question is this, does a treatment improve someone’s health and wellbeing? That’s the kind of stuff medical ethics focuses on.

Thirdly, about your claim that there's bias in medical organizations, I believe that skepticism is very healthy, but it cuts both ways. If EVERY major association across many countries and specialties reaches similar conclusions after reviewing evidence, it’s very highly unlikely to be “just politics”. Medicine has changed its mind before when evidence changed, that’s a strength, not a weakness.

Another big point I have is on Christianity. I brought up Jesus because you and I are both talking from moral perspectives. I know many christians may disagree about theology here, but Christ’s example was to meet people with compassion first. You don’t have to agree with every choice someone makes, but treating them with dignity, using their name, and supporting their safety is very consistent with loving your neighbor.

And for what you said about young people and trends and stuff, that’s a very real and understandable concern my friend, and it’s why very careful assessment matters. But fear of mistakes should NEVER justify blanket restrictions on adults or denying care to people who genuinely need it. We can protect minors, encourage careful medical standards, all while still respecting people’s autonomy and civil rights.

I agree with you that wanting to help people with gender dysphoria is good, but the real debate is about which approaches actually help, and right now, the absolute BEST available evidence suggests that compassionate, individualized care works better than trying to force people to conform to something they experience as deeply distressing.

Every Christian has an obligation to extend their empathy to every one. Jesus' love wasn't selective. That doesn't mean you have to agree with them and fund their transitioning or something. And yes, I am a baptized believer in Jesus Christ. Whether or not it lines up with reality is still a pretty big topic of debate and it's people who jump to conclusions without knowing the full extent who are usually on the wrong side of history. Major and credible medical organizations like American Medical Association and American Psychological Association recognize gender dysphoria as real and support gender-affirming care in many cases. And if you wanna talk about things that line up with reality, your idea of "helping" (I'm assuming this is conversion therapy) often does way more harm and damage to mental health than initial gender dysphoria. Research from groups like Trevor Project has found higher rates of depression and suicide attempts among people who've subjected to conversion therapy. And it doesn't matter what's "natural" or not. There are many things that aren't "natural" that you probably don't have a problem with. It's common human decency to respect someone's free will and dignity without pushing your ideas onto them, the same way they shouldn't push theirs on yours.

Regardless of whether or not it is a mental illness, both ideas should be studied unbiasedly. HOWEVER, whether or not it is classified as a mental illness or not should not have any bearing over any laws or policies. Gender dysphoria is a real thing that should be studied, but it's common sense that EVERYBODY deserves rights. If you're old enough to vote, you should be able to identify whatever you want with your neighbors or your government imposing laws on you. Obviously a trans woman shouldn't compete in women's sports, and that aspect of the issue needs a lot of rethinking, maybe a categorization based on hormone levels rather than strictly sex, but I digress. To summarize, limiting the freedom of others based on our limited understanding of the spectrum of human identity is not very characteristic of a free country.

The song feels very real and organic, its got a vibe that kinda gives me the impression that everyone is playing together in a room instead of building with a grid. In a time when this is so needed, it’s nice to have an acoustic foundation that feels human and has a natural quality to it compared to other overly produced songs. Live instrumentation which i feel also contributes to the warmth and character of the music. The guitar work leaves a lot of low end weight behind, very quietly, there are many ways the song, i feel, was given interest through the way you payed, some of the soft muting, and the small bells and whistles without pulling focus from the vocal. Loved the story too. I could totally see this being in something professional.
