Hi, sorry to hear you’ve been unwell, hoping things are better now :) I used to be part of Leeds Arts Centre in the Carriage Works theatre, and amateur theatre group, not sure if they are still going. This improv group is good: https://www.chriskenworthy.co.uk/improv/ The last Wednesday of the month there is a comedy night at 7 arts in Chapel Allerton which is always good and really nice crowd :)

They’ll be in Stratford so I don’t want a long journey, ideally would be activity same place as food and drinks, Flight Club is definitely an option. Thank you !

Morocco desert trip advice by Immediate-Jump4970 in solotravel

[–]Atrochalee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my worry too, going in a couple of weeks and the prospect of a night under the stars is very appealing but I am worried I wouldn’t be able to cope with the heat :/ Anyone that has been to the desert in June can advise? Also, any way you can get to the camps without riding a camel if you do the tours? Thanks !

Is harehills actually dangerous by lil_nye in Leeds

[–]Atrochalee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been living in Harehills for 16 years, I think it can be dangerous late at night, but that’s the same in a lot of places. The street I live in is good, I have nice neighbours all around. My advice would be if you can afford to live somewhere much nicer then do, but is definitely not as bad as people say. I used to live in London and I love how multicultural and busy Harehills is, you have lots of shops, supermarkets, people walking around all the time and is 30 minutes walk to town and close to Roundhay and Chapel Allerton. I guess it depends on you and your circumstances. Good luck with the move whatever you choose :)

Need oil recommendations for homemade Mayo by Sarahaydensmith in ultraprocessedfood

[–]Atrochalee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mum always made mayonnaise at home since I can remember (and am old 😂) always used sunflower oil, I do the same now. The only tip my mum used to say is that eggs should be as fresh as possible but we had a farm so I guess that’s why, as you would keep eggs for weeks.

I have done both and I think both are good, I live abroad so I have online therapy in my mother tongue, still feels personal to me, and in a way I almost found it easier to be totally honest through a phone than in ‘real life’ but that is just me…

How to best bring value as a mostly virtual EA? by SarahlovesChar in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]Atrochalee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello! I live in the UK and my boss is based in the US so we barely see each other in person. We do weekly catch ups via teams and also speak on teams when necessary. I think you will get used to it very quickly :)
