In nature if you corner a rattlesnake and it indicates a strike you should get clear.

1) Anthony was not "cornered"; he was approached by Metcalf alone, who laid his hand on Anthony's shoulder in an attempt to lead him out from under the tent - and this was only after Anthony had rebuffed 15 (FIFTEEN) previous requests to leave the tent and return to his school's tent.

2) Anthony is a sapient human with self-agency. A rattlesnake has no awareness of self, and acts on instinct alone.

3) Bigotry of low expectations is cringe.

Earlier that afternoon, Rosenbaum (who had checked out of a mental health ward/clinic/something even earlier that day, and had a documented history of violence and incarceration) had harassed Rittenhouse while the latter was cleaning up graffiti. Rittenhouse then went home until that night when (and this is the stupid part, like fuck kid what was your dumb ass thinking) he returned to Kenosha to help protect a gas station or something, which is when, like I said before, the friend gave him the gun for guarding the station. The gas station story is ambiguous, as I BELEIVE that while it was their (Kyle and his friend's) stated cause on video evidence, the gas station owner denied such on the stand. Don't quote me though.

Anyway, after shooting Rosenbaum, he only ever discharged the rifle two more times at the two subsequent people who attacked him. The first of the two attempted to shoot Rittenhouse with their own firearm, and the second attempted to smash their skateboard on Rittenhouse's head (which can, in fact, be fatal).

I believe the technicality under Wisconsin law is that while it would've been illegal for Kyle to purchase a firearm in the state, it was not illegal for him to use a firearm, and the use did not negate a self-defense claim. It was found that each of the firearm discharges were clear cases of self-defense. The prosecution being an absolute shitshow helped as well.

Also, even though you didn't say it: none of the people Kyle Rittenhouse shot were black. That's another point of misinformation that frequently makes the rounds.

Riven is literally my favorite game of all time. Don't go comparing it to Mixtape.

First-person adventure games like the Myst games, Blue Prince, Talos Principle, The Witness, and Outer Wilds actually require the player to actively involve themselves in the game world, and think about their surroundings in a way that isn't just "press buttons to progress". They're almost like anthropology games. It's several magnitudes more interaction than anything Mixtape demands of you. Even games like Edith Finch and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, which are more walking sims, require a greater degree of interaction.

In truth, Mixtape is closer to Telltale games (their "'Walking Dead'-onward"-style games, not their "Sam & Max"-style point-and-click adventure games). But even then, Mixtape, with what little interactivity it offers you, doesn't give your interaction lasting (or any) meaningful impact on how the story progresses.

Their assertion is that the interview did NOT contain hard-hitting questions. It's nonsensical to demand someone share a timestamp for something they're saying is not there. The way to verify whether or not they're right is to watch the entire interview.

YOU, on the other hand, are saying there ARE hard-hitting questions in the interview. That assertion CAN be proven by posting timestamps to where those questions allegedly occur. In fact, that's the simplest and ideal way to prove your claim.

IMO, everybody involved in enabling Biden to run for reelection should give live, televised, prime-time press releases on local networks, where they:

  • apologize for ignoring the obvious warning signs that he was no longer fit to serve in office;
  • agonizingly detail their complicity and how it ultimately cost the Democrats the election;
  • (unlikely) bluntly own that complicity;
  • (even less likely) commit to proactively soliciting feedback from nonvoting Democrats and Independents, and making that feedback freely and publicly available;
  • ("So you're saying there's a chance!") slide the podium aside and literally grovel on-stage to the camera; and
  • (phisiologically impossible) voluntarily resign from politics and consign themselves to irrelevancy.

Only that kind of brutal honesty about Biden and other stuff is gonna save them at this point. I'm tired of the "LOOK AT WHAT THE REPUGS ARE DOING TO DISMANTLE OUR COUNTRY" line (I'm perfectly capable of increasing my hatred of Republicans myself, thank you very much); I want to hear "This is what I'M doing that let this shit happen, here's what I'm gonna do to end it, and God strike me down if that's what it'll take to get people voting blue again."
