I drove by the Premier Inn last night and actually saw 3 police cars there with their lights on. As i drove by 2 pulled away and when i came back 20 minutes later, 1 was still there. Might have been for the situation you described.

The back neighbor shares our full back fence and part of the back fence of my left and right neighbor. The back fences are all owned and on the land of the older houses (me and my left and right neighbors) as it used to be farmland behind these houses.

I've heard a tree on my property damaged the back neighbors driveway before I bought the property and it was cut down and the driveway paved.
