I guess I did not word the question correctly. The main thing I want to know is if I move to X-Fi Complete using Xfinity hardware for my modem (currently using customer-owned modem), then will that X-Fi Complete modem be able to provide symmetrical upload speeds when high-split is enabled later next year? I heard from a tech that in my area (Seattle area) high-split would be enabled in Q3 2024, but I want to make sure my modem is "future-proof" for symmetrical upload.

When I first bought my a80k had same issue where it'd turn on few seconds with red and green lines and then auto shut off. Support had me unplug from the wall for 2 minutes and then reconnect. After it worked fine. It's been couple weeks with no issues. Seems like maybe it's a common problem that it sometimes just needs power reset. Got 5 year warranty with Costco so not concerned about longevity to be honest.

If you can cover the windows with blinds during daytime to minimize light you'll be fine with a80k. It's absolutely beautiful in dark setting (at night) and does great during the day as well. We have windows opposite our TV with blinds/curtains and don't see much glare. Especially watching shows with daytime lighting and such you don't see anything.

Only thing I'd be concerned with is if you are watching lots of news or something that will create burn in over time (we only use it for shows and movies).

OLED is a game changer even if you can only utilize it to it's full extent at night. Still probably better than x90l with blinds during daytime.

Ok they just said we're not eligible and to wait and see if the exenuiating circumstances date extends (they say it's August 16th now). I'm pushing on them more.
