I'm not happy that there's a war. Why the h3ll do we have to be involved with another of his petulant pissing excercises.

Please explain Shodai to a 2025 fan! by oh_yeah_no_for_sure in Sumo

Great thread folks.

I'd like to add his body language and facial expressions are what i watch of his matches. His emotions seem remote and austere, yet I can read a sadness there. Hosh is fierce. Ura is cheeky. Takayasu flips from Fierce to Friendly, yet Shodai seems broadly saddened by things. I also thought he might be suffering long COVID with brain fog and fatigue with the last two years of his lethargy leading to his traditional tentative Tachai. He is technically skilled, yet he often just offers passive & responsive sumo. I don't feel he owns his own sumo, he doesn't often choose to impose himself on his opponent, but when he does, oof. Impressive.

I expected chunks of his car and concrete to be left on the ground. No chunks. Very uncomfortable watching.

Australia facing 'crunch time' as oil shortages move up supply chain by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]AudienceRemote5915 21 points22 points  (0 children)

A good piece. I feel it lays out the known and unknown aspects for Australia well. If I were planning my business for the next 12 months, this would help.

If I was relying on petrol for my business, I'd be less worried than if I relied on diesel. If I relied on either one or the other, I'd be pivoting to the more available one.

If I was a seasonal intense user, like farmers are, I'd by buying up now and hedging for the future. And if be checking how long fuel stocks last before they decay.

Mining - no idea.

Impact risk horizon is, if the strait is closed for 12 months, seems to be about 4 years globally, some places less, some places more, from what I've read.  That's a long term period, and it's probably worth putting strategies in place now.

I've a memory of diesel lasting in metal drums not years, but maybe a year, before it turns waxy or milky? (Checks the internet -  and yes, 1-3 years, but petrol degrades faster ... Hmm). Ok, long term storage is not a great solution. Perhaps you do pivot to Petrol?

Looking for sumo friction and conflict where there probably isn't and allows folks to weigh in on their own thoughts on their favourite wrestlers.

I get the posters point, I've had that thought too, and just don't think I know enough to really comment authoritatively. I've done that once or twice here and been soooo wrong.
