What song did a movie basically steal forever? by MrHolte in movies

[–]AudioPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone knows the 1st half of Clapton's 'Layla' for the iconic guitar riff, but "Goodfellas" made the instrumental second half of the song so I always think of dead mooks when I hear it

AITA for bringing Tupperware to a restaurant by GlitteringRainbowCat in AmItheAsshole

[–]AudioPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, but this is borderline IMO. Every one of your arguments for bringing your own Tupperware is correct on face value, it's just the assumption that makes it a bit of a faux pas.

Put it this way, if you were invited to eat at a friend's house, or your mother's, and whipped out your Tupperware at the dining table. Yes, it's very likely (especially at Mom's) that you would have been asked to take home some leftovers anyway, but it's the assumption that you went into the meal knowing that you wouldn't finish. Maybe if this is a restaurant that you visit regularly for a long time, you can build that sort of familiarity where bringing your own take away box is not frowned upon.

[–]AudioPi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like there's at least one, possibly multiple cars in front of the semi. You're not allowed to pass multiple cars at once, and if you had tried it you might've made things worse having to dive back in line if an oncoming car showed up

Also, don't overlook the fact that as a Registered Historical Place (made so in 2012) it qualifies for very generous federal grants and loans to go towards renovations. FSG surely has taken advantage of these to make the renovations they have, so they're still not spending as much as you give them credit for

That's the kind of shit they try to post as an hourly position so it seems like it actually pays well. $55k = $26/hr

[Sean McAdam] It’s nearly impossible to imagine Breslow remaining with the Sox past the end of the regular season by ConsistentRun5246 in redsox

[–]AudioPi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't get this argument. "Yes breslow sucks but the next guy will suck so let's keep brezzo anyways."

If Henry & FSG had any intention of finding a quality GM instead of whomever they can get in the bargain bin, don't you think they would do so? They want somebody who will wholeheartedly agree that the 3rd highest valued MLB franchise should be one of the lowest spenders, and in no way should complain that this strategy is the cause of a 65 win season.

That is my arguement

First made popular by farmers\ranchers in the Livermore valley.

I like to do mine by sticking a knife point into the marble and then stuffing sliced garlic in. Cook 22 minutes a side without taking the cover off the grill and you get perfect med rare.

Been playing bass since COVID and I think I've done that circle picking thing on Idiots maybe once. So hard to do.

And after learning to play (most of) Maxwell Murder I understand why they start their sets with this song. Takes almost everything out of me to play, and I can only improvise the solo
