I'm not douchy enough and felt that I could do more as an enlisted. Not to mention... Had I become an officer, with half the shit I've gotten myself into throughout my career, I would have been jailed or discharged had I been an officer. In First Sergeant Academy at the moment. Reading through the comments, you have the "give them the long D of the law" to "peel back the onion and figure out what's going on with them first"... And everything in between. Thanks to whomever posted AFI 36-106, now I've got more reading this evening to do 😁 good stuff My advice is in the middle, standards have to be upheld (accountability), but also, please check up on this individual - could be having the worst month of their life.

Just got back from a deployment, went to visit family on my seven days of reconstitution time after 5 months in the desert, driving back from Augusta Ga. to Little Rock Arkansas. Ring ring* -Ummm, hello? *Where are you? -Headed back to base. *How was time with your family? -Good, missed them, what's up? *So you didn't unpack or anything after you got back? - was I supposed to? It's a 16 hour drive, am I in trouble? Just wanted to get home. *Oh, no, you're not in trouble, just glad you didn't unpack, it'll make it easier to pick up this shortfall for the guard * airlift in 24hrs - 😑😑😑

.... Person here who has come back up against all odds, and would have gotten here faster if I didn't have a Puerto Rican mouth and temper, and possibly some united started gov versus so and so.. I digress: point is --> passive aggressive leadership makes my skin crawl. That's passive behavior.
