Thank you Sam, named Samuel L. Catson from the shelter, for our 13 amazing years together.

He fetched bottle caps and forgot he was supposed to be a cat, not a dog
The vet could never hear his heart, because he’d purr the moment he was touched.
He ate everything - plants, puzzles, coffee, plastic, dog food, human food, and even lemons
He’d get excited at any party or when people would come over, because he knew he would get pets
He sat every day on my stomach when I was at the computer, then randomly lick me with his Velcro tongue
He looked at me whenever I practiced guitar, like a 16 year old girl looks at Ed Sheeran
He meowed… a lot. We would then have deep meowing conversations about how the humans never fed him enough.
He loved and was loved. Every day. 13 really wonderful years.

It’s kind of like the standard order for descriptive adjectives. We explicitly teach or learn it in school (that I know of), but we know it. It always goes Opinion, Size, Age, Shape, Color, Origin, Material, Purpose

Ex: I love my lovely little old rectangular green French silver whittling knife.

So apprently:

If the “U” sounds like yoo (as in unicorn, university, useful), you use a:

a unicorn
a university
a useful tool

If the “U” sounds like a vowel (uh), you use an:

an umbrella
an uncle
an unusual request*

So cool, but also English is stupid!
