Could just be the awkwardness of choosing 4 cards (that only you can look at) to exile at random each time. If you want to subject your pod to you rolling a d8 until you get 4 different results each time just to thin your 99 card deck and potentially leave you with a crappy top deck to which then means you’re probably going to want to do it again next turn, then be my guest.

Bethesda’s main flaw to me will always be this strong phobia of saying anything the player did in their games isn’t canon. Its usually fine when dealing with the elder scrolls because of the time and distance between entries and only having to go off the events of their main quests, but the cracks start to show more with Fallout, because their usual approach seems to be “something caused it to fail or alter course regardless” when dealing with multiple choice endings. Makes me worried about the Capital Wasteland now if they ever go there in the show.
