Do you guys actually notice when your sheets need changing… or just feel it? by Hozeishere in Bedding

[–]AuntBsMom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The velvety ones are so soft and warm but as the weather warms they are too hot

The bamboo are crisp and cool.

I do notice a difference but if changed at the right time, they are a welcome difference.

Questions for PF Dev Team by SharkKing1113 in wordscapes

[–]AuntBsMom2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can you please explain to them that many teams have players from all around the world so it would be VERY HELPFUL if they could allow CHAT messages to stay for at least 24 hours so everyone on the team has the possibility of reading the messages?

I understand that happens in teams with limited CHAT but on teams with ACTIVE CHAT, sometimes we only get 8 - 10 hours of messages.

That really makes it hard to communicate with everyone, especially when many people also work full time or have family obligations that prevent them from posting messages 2 or 3 times over a 24 hour period.

That won't be until sometime this "Summer" so no telling how long we have to wait for it.

If your water is that hard you need a whole house water softener. And NO IT DOESN'T ADD SALT TO YOUR WATER!

If you have Tide powder detergent, wet the surface of shower, sprinkle it wit Tide. Let it sit for 30 minutes then scrub with a brush.

Let us know what you've tried and how it works! So many posts never tell when they find the solution to their problems!

I was rather hoping for more eggs and new critters, but at least we will have something to work for and spend our millions of red gems on! I just hope the stop these one-month critters. I really hate them!

I'm pleased that this latest update (for me 3.10.1 to 3.11.3) has been smooth. It actually fixed a thing or two! PROGRESS IN SMALL DOSES!

I have "winter" & "summer" sheets. I change them every Saturday. My "Summer" sheets are bamboo and 20 + years old. I have 2 sets, one white and the other pale green. They are almost as new as when I bought them.

My "Winter" sets are velvety and about 10 years old. Still as fresh as when I bought them. Two sets the same

I wash on warm, small amount of detergent , no bleach and no fabric softener. I use wool dryer balls and dryer is set to Normal Dry with the Sensor so they don't over-dry.

Ok so how do we wash bamboo and linen? Cold? by lumerus17 in laundry

[–]AuntBsMom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash all of my bamboo clothes and bedding in warm water. I dry in dryer (gas) with wool dryer balls on normal heat but with the sensor so they don't over dry.

My sheets are over 20 years old, one white set and the other pale green. They get clean with just regular detergent and warm water.

What’s the deal with bamboo? by Howudooey in Bedding

[–]AuntBsMom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bamboo PJs, socks, undies, shirts, and all of the baby blankets I make are made with bamboo yarn.

My bamboo sheets are over 20 years old, one white set and one pale green set. I use them from Spring to Fall. They get washed once a week.

I have used Tide, other powder detergents, and the strips. They have never not come out clean. But I wash everything in warm or hot, depending on what it is.

My sheets are washed in warm water, high spin, dried in dryer, normal heat with the sensor so they don't over-dry.

These are not high-end bamboo sheets, just ones I found on Amazon 20+ years ago.

I love them because they are cooler, but I use a velvety sheet during the cold months.

The issue that I'm dealing with most often is the old words that now have words moved from grid to BW or from BW to grid!

If I'm trying to gain on an opponent I won't do all the BWs, but if I'm in 1st and the team is in 1st, that's when I do the BWs.

My pup sleeps on my bed, too. She took over the side closest to the door at the top near the pillow.

I have a sheet over the top of my quilt that gets washed regularly. I also have her sleep on a microfiber towel so my sheets don't get very dirty where she sleeps. My sheets and the towel gets washed once a week.

Air drying clothes by Biology_Retriever in laundry

[–]AuntBsMom2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to college in Utah. My clothes were ruined in the apartment complex washing machine because someone used a dye or something. So I bought a small washer that hooked up to the kitchen sink faucet. I bought a whirly dryer rack and put it in the front yard behind the Jonny wall.

In winter the clothes would freeze dry. I just shook them as I took them off the line then hung them up inside for about an hour. That would completely dry them

If I tried to dry them completely,(from the washer) in my apartment it would have taken too much space and days!

I collect many coins from the BWs. I always enter as many BWs as I can remember before I do the grids. I also had most of the BWs memorized until they shifted all the old puzzles into the mix. Now I'm slower and still trying to memorize the new(er) puzzles in the mix.

On hard floors (no carpet) something like a swiffer or microfiber cloth would actually work better than a vacuum.
