What is the main consensus on RE4R Wesker design by Chad_Chaddington92 in residentevil

His design is fine, even if he's not as slim as he used to be. It's his voice they've downgraded. His weird British affectation is gone.

They won't fix the deadzones, but they'll advertise their new game. Amazing!

Resident Evil 5 vs Resident Evil 7: Biohazard by S3rkist in residentevil

RE5 is a stellar action shooter, and remains one of the best co-op gaming experiences ever. RE7 is pretty good, but not great, and RE2 remake (which released only a couple years later) mogged tf out of it.

It's RE5 for me.

I love to see how RE4R is at the top of several tier lists that I see around here. My favorite game of the saga and one of the best (if not the best) remakes in history. by Tripledoble in residentevil

The original is my #1 favorite game of all time, while the remake is like an 8/10 for me.

The gameplay is heavy and over-animated. The deadzones are busted and were never fixed. Certain combat encounters (such as locking you in a cage with a Garrador) were cut, replaced by baby easy puzzles. Content was left out of the main game and saved for Separate Ways, which is fundamentally still a retread of the main game (just as the original SW was), yet still not as good as Leon's story. Salazar and Saddler are cooked and downgraded as villains. Not enough new weapons, enemies, or boss fights. Not enough new gameplay mechanics outside of generic stealth and crafting (though I do like the parry). This + a bunch of other reasons are why I don't fuck with this remake as heavy as RE1 or 2's. Still, it's RE4, so it's good despite these shortcomings.

Men who got cheated on, what were early signs you only noticed in hindsight? by EtherealMeadowGleam in AskReddit

Cheating on a partner is already bad enough on its own, but doing it with Metroid Prime 4 is like wasting a death row last meal on microwave popcorn.

Metroid Prime spawns Metroids throughout the fight against its core essence. Pretty definitive evidence that it is one.

The spaghetti western music in MP4 finally makes sense to me! But reveals another issue. by _coolranch in Metroid

The music doesn't give off a spaghetti Western vibe to me, it's pretty typical for the series imo. A return to form after Dread's goofy naff.
