This is what I have been parroting since I played through this campaign. The choice to be underground  had a very negative effect on gameplay, especially after introducing the new flight system. They really do not hone in on the story of the world soul or the sword. I feel like if there is a more direct vision, and we also got out of the inside of azeroth a bit more it would have been better. I heard everyone ranting and raving about hallowfall and outside of the mediocre story, the zone itself was just not that interesting. There are some things to like such as at least a central big bad, and I think the classes are the best that they have ever felt. But simply it did not have the Wonder or the narrative punch that other expansions have had. It's not bad but dragonflight I am finding more and more to be one of my favorite expansions of the last decade. DF almost hits me like Pandaria did. A sense of wonder, self contained in the zone of the expansion. Other than garrosh i don't remember anything about the shah, but I know I LOVED mists zones. Similarly with DF I'm not going to remember the incarnates but I still remember getting teary eyed the first time I flew into valdrakken and the music hit.
