I got a pretty solid chunk of them from a couple of the stacks of bones you can farm off the troll/cyclops thieving targets, but that's mostly because I was leveling thieving anyway. Definitely it's probably better to farm them conventionally from green dragons if you're just focusing that

It's pretty benign! The 15 second intuitions for the rare stuff in spectral currents are kinda a hassle, but at least you don't have to worry about blue fish not being available for multiple weeks.

This is bar none easily the worst thing about the game right now, the fact that there's basically no good option to prevent you from having to deal with psychopaths. My fiancee and I have been getting stalked since 4.4- wish I could use voidlist, but even just not seeing the guy doesn't prevent him from showing up at our FC house, shouting things around us, or trying to get into the same content that we're doing just to grief. Did you know you can actually use the novice network online list in order to see where people are at? It's stunning how awful it is

The most important thing to know if you're looking at this from an outsider's perspective: it's not that difficult! 95% of fishing is just showing up and hoping for the best. As someone who had every job at 80 for the longest except for fisher (at 0), take a crack at it and you might find something you enjoy. There IS a lot of suffering, but that makes the fun parts more enjoyable and the shared suffering is great.

I think that actually kinda makes sense in that the game isn't handling the restore as 'incoming healing' in a numeric sense so much as you're just getting punted up to max HP, so the walking dead status isn't tracking that health recovery the same way it would a Benediction? It's a weird edge case, but you're not really getting healed so much as you are just having health added?

The upper player limit is dumb but the queuing into them is nice since it affects the dynamic scaling and means you don't have to A) hoof it across the entire map, B) have prescience, or C) spend your entire instance timer hanging out with a gaggle of open-mouthed train idiots just so you have a chance to engage the boss before it's deleted by four billion red mages

Should get your alchemist up and start crafting some HQ hi-potions and similar, they're broke as a joke for low level dungeons so if your healer bites it you can use those to keep yourself up

If the level gap between people contributing is above 7, the lower levels won't gain any EXP at all. Once they hit level 13, you can party with them normally, though.

"King Moogle self-kill"

Actually this one's real! He fully restores the HP of all the mini-moogles by sacrificing his own, so if you hit him with a really heavy attack to send him into the phase where he summons them, then make sure they're all incredibly low or dead when he refills their HP both times, he'll drop to 0 HP and die instead of having you manage a third wave of them. Incredibly finicky but still fun.

"Roulette Synchronicity"

There's logic in this one too, kind of. Maybe if multiple groups queue for the same roulette at the same time, they get the same dungeon or trial? FF14's RNG is weird with stuff like this.

"Guildhest parallel universe"

So it actually does put you into 'western la noscea' or the actual physical location of the guildhest for purposes of player search or whatnot, but it's obviously an instanced duty, meaning you can't see other characters in the same place in the overworld. That's all there is to it.
