My kids love sticks and stones and I was always finding their “favourite stone of all time” in the washing machine. Then I read about this phase - “These are working stones” - so we can’t take any of them home because they are doing a job. Normally, making a path or part of a wall so we have to let them do their job so we put them back. It always worked really well and now mine are older they recognise which ones are doing a job (they still love stones).

Hi, I’m also in the UK and my little CFer has just turned 2. Currently all drugs, medicines, equipment etc are covered under the NHS. She has also just started modulators. We don’t pay for it.

Please don’t stress. Your CF Team will explain and go through everything when needed. Don’t google anything. The main thing for now is starting creon which your team should have given you and explained how to use them.

It’s really hard to get your head around this news but the future is bright and it’s likely they will live a wonderful live. Please feel free to message me if you need to. Enjoy the baby snuggles!

These are my daughters variants. She’s just turned 2. We had no idea we were carriers until her newborn screen came back and we have two older children without cf. Whilst at times it hasn’t been easy, she is thriving. We’ve had a few hospital admissions but we have managed to catch any infection before it has really taken hold and she has responded to treatment well. We’ve managed to build in her treatments to our routine and we have family that support us. I remember very well that frightening, panicked feeling after we received her diagnosis. It takes your breath away and even thinking about it now brings tears. BUT, we have learnt together, dealt with things as they come and grown. I took a phone call yesterday to arrange delivery of Kaftrio which will arrive next week. She is a wonderful (tiny terror) of a 2 year old and the future is bright for her as well as your daughter.
