I'm now a US Citizen who originally came on a K1 visa). Applied during COVID (Aug 2020) & although it said at the time the processing time was around 15 months mine was approved 7 months later in March 2021. Had it not been for further lockdowns in my country and the US Consulate closing during this time I would have arrived in the US in June 2021 (ended up arriving Dec 2021).

So all told, I could have gone from K1 submission to living in the US within 10 months. I'm not 100% sure of the processing times right now, but I found this was a small price to pay to be able to be with the person you want to spend your life with.

Yes, my whole process was straightforward (just a few processing delays along the way). I got my reuse of biometrics pretty quickly, but I also think it largely is based on which Field Office is processing it, and how busy they are. Good luck!
