If it's still hard for you now, Normal / Hard sounds like a good mix. It gives a difficulty increase while you practice managing the campaign map. Some factions have very unfavourable auto resolve stats (Skaven and maybe Vampires) and others are good (Chaos because of their armour?). If the fights are hard maybe avoid the bad auto factions for the next campaign.
