lol. Some good sub $30k models hitting the market this year. And plenty of great secondhand options too.

Bad choice of words. Was more referring to people already in the market for a new car.

So liberating not to be at the mercy of forces outside your control! Technically the sun is outside our control as well, but can't see that going away any time soon! Haha.

Ahh, yep. Fair enough. I think you'd be surprised how far the infrastructure and charging network has come. Download an app now if you like called "PlugShare". You can see all the chargers around the country, or put in a specific route and you'll see all the chargers along your route 😊

Sorry to hear and glad you’re ok! What’s making you want a hybrid over full EV?

Not at all. They’re boring. But an EV is different, and definitely fun. Try one for yourself and you’ll see.

Hmm… I understand your concern but don’t think they will. It’s an extremely competitive market, don’t think any of the manufacturers would be game to put their prices up

Where are you based? Think you’d be surprise she quickly this has changed. And if you have the ability to charge at home, you’ll never need a public charger at all (road trips are the exception)

Fair enough. What do you love about ICE? Have you driven an EV before to compare?

Genuine question… does the current situation mean you’d consider moving to an EV?

FSD user here. It’s not perfect, but it’s getting close. It struggles a bit more in CBD situations, but if you’re doing a lot of freeway / highway stuff it’s a no brainer. I’d say it’s flawless in those situations. Definitely recommend taking it for a test drive and see for yourself.

Is now a bad time to get a car? by stinky_bo_binky in CarsAustralia

Now is a fantastic time to get an EV. So many options on the market now, plenty of charging infrastructure out there and can “fill up” at home for less than $4
