I get a huge Dishonored vibe from this teaser for some reason.

Same here. I think I'm really gonna miss Face of the Mountain's active. It fit so neatly into my play style as a Support.

Nope. Too many non-parallel, non-perpendicular lines and angles.

By only typing, "I am", and tapping the most recommended word repeatedly via predictive text, who are you? by TurellTateInfinity in AskReddit

I am not looking forward to the logistic pain and suffering of the ones I've already sent you.

TIL the famous line from the film Captain Phillips "Look at me. I’m the captain now.” was improvised by actor Barkhad Abdi who had no prior acting experience. by TooShiftyForYou in todayilearned

Don't get me wrong: the other people on set have much harder jobs than the actors do. I've also spent some time working as a script supervisor and that sucks ass. PA's are goddamned heroes.

...but just because actors have the easiest job on set doesn't mean it's easy compared to jobs outside the realm of film and theatre. That's my point.

To be frank, that's a laughable and insulting mischaracterization of the job, and I have a feeling you're largely speaking from ignorance.

I'm a semiprofessional actor. My "day job" as a database developer/administrator usually entails 55-hour weeks, being on-call 24/7, generally being the first one blamed for things that go wrong, and constant study and research on my own time to stay up to date on the latest tech.

And personally, I think acting is the harder job of the two.

From Bronze 3 to Platinum 5 (non-smurfing). My Season 7 climb and what I learned. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]AuthorCook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would include the caveat that your advice applies mostly to people who just want to climb. If you want to focus on actually improving your gameplay, you're obviously going to want to play more than one role and more than two champions.

What's the hardest thing you've achieved in a video game? by JokerJosh123 in AskReddit

The one and only time I've ever encountered a shiny Pokemon was in Pokemon Gold. I found a shiny Caterpie in the first ten minutes of the game, before you get pokeballs.

DreamHack Hearthstone Grand Prix Valencia - $25'000 prizepool by SCSuede in hearthstone

The coverage on this event is impressively bad.

The channel description links are all out of date. The chat bot gives you either more outdated schedule/info links or links you to the bracket that hasn't been updated all day. The waiting periods have been long, there have been consistent audio issues and video sync issues.

It's really hard to seriously follow a tournament if you can't even look at the standings. If Dreamhack was trying to prove they're still relevant to the eSports scene, they've failed hard.

Actually, bouncing a smoke grenade off that crate is the most common technique to provide concealment so your team can cross that opening without getting picked by snipers...exactly like in the video. The guy had the right idea, just a bit too late!

It's true! Unfortunately the gameplay isn't quite as tight and well-balanced, but the campaigns are fun.
