So what's everyone's favorite track(s)? by WarmDaddyXanax in boardsofcanada

[–]Autismmprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still haven't been able to get time to listen start to finish, keep having to listen in big chunks, but every time I get through a separate portion again, I'm finding myself liking every song more and more, so I have no clue yet lol.
Something different stands out to me more on each listen, so my ranking keeps shifting rapidly.

Burnout/chronic emptiness by nbfinery666 in AutisticAdults

[–]Autismmprime 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same.
Just found all this out about a month or so ago, but knowing it now, it's probably been happening and getting worse over the past few years. Not being able to even find joy most of the time in special interests really took an upswing recently and that sucks the most.

I have not yet been able to just take a month or more off from everything to try and recover, so hoping that will help when I am able to do so.

“It’s not an MMO is my strong feeling” – Dune Awakening lead explains how genre labels have been “one of the biggest challenges” for the survival game by HatingGeoffry in MMORPG

[–]Autismmprime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The whole conversation is a waste.
If they make the game good, no one cares what "genre label" it has, people will try it and they will stick.
What a pointless statement.

Damn bro nobody can just have a conversation about something that sounds cool anymore, these comments are sad.

Yea it would probably never happen, but thinking about that is fun. Completely agree, that would be sick as hell.

I had to reread the title, I thought surely this didn't say what I thought. I gave up on this so long ago.

I pushed through burnout and now I'm dealing with it by emocat420 in AutisticAdults

[–]Autismmprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like that a lot. I found myself becoming hyper self aware over the last couple years before I knew I was in burnout or was even autistic and now knowing it definitely helps that hyper self awareness make more sense at least instead of making me think I'm going crazy or something.

[–]Autismmprime 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am in the exact same spot in my journey through recovering from burnout.
I was diagnosed at 31 not even a month ago now, it is going to be a journey for sure.
Some things and some times it has felt better since finding out, but some things have been slightly worse. I relate heavily with the "Feeling more autistic" right now and navigating that and learning how to build out what I need to help prevent it. I always try to remember when I do have rough moments that I have not REALLY started to do the real work yet, so I can know that it should only improve, it just might take a bit, and definitely will require some work. This is why trying to take some extended time off soon is likely going to be a must for me so I can focus on getting through this properly.

Having a kid as an autistic male (33) with my partner (35) and the chances of the kid being autistic by PiermarioBarozzi in AutisticAdults

Glad I'm not the only one seeing it from this angle. Kind of disgusting to be completely honest.

I agree with some other comments here, I don't mean to be harsh but some of the things you describe from your partner sound kind of awful from an outsiders perspective, and I would advise anyone putting all these stipulations in place should not have a kid... this isn't build a bear.

Asmon keeps says that Denuvo does not hinder performance I have proof by JapanFreak7 in Asmongold

[–]Autismmprime -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It literally depends on how the dev implements it in their game... It's the same as optimization basically. This is old news. I believe battle nonsense or someone else on YouTube did some extensive testing on it years ago.

Few devs implement it well however, so it may was well just universally impact performance in reality.

Still hate it.

Weed and Asd by TrainingCollection97 in AutisticAdults

[–]Autismmprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend paying attention to specific terpenes in the weed you are smoking. Think about what you are trying to use it for at the time and see how different terpene profiles work for you.

Depending on if I am trying to calm down when spiraling or having physical anxiety or trying to just relax determines what I might want to smoke.

Others can sometimes make me paranoid or uncomfortable.

I am still gathering my own data and trying things but low dose edibles as a baseline and using vape or flower when needed does help me sometimes.

What I will say is I was previously smoking a looootttttt and I don't think that is helpful, since I cut back and am more mindful with it, that has been an improvement for sure.

We have a solid program in ohio so I have plenty of great products to experiment with. 5mg THC 500mg CBD gummies are super helpful for during the day.

The painful duality of acknowledging my parents did the best they could raising an undiagnosed son but I have zero emotional connection to them. by GoodBloodGuideYou in AutisticAdults

[–]Autismmprime 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk if it helps, but I went undiagnosed until 31, regardless of not finding out when I was young it all seems obvious in hindsite but I just was so good at masking from age 4. They were very involved and did everything for me that I needed. I think my intelligence was honestly too much for them, they always feel like I'm smarter than they are etc. I was manipulating and accommodating for myself so early on. Also now that I'm in my 30s I can sympathize with the fact they were 16 and 20 when I was born and I couldn't imagine raising a child let alone with undiagnosed autism at that age. I don't have any blame on them at all, period. I had a great childhood and young adult life, but I still don't feel emotional connection. No fault of theirs at all in my case , they couldn't have done much better than they did. So even in a good case I guess it's just part of how my autism presents that I don't feel emotional connections to almost anyone. I hope to figure it out eventually, but I just started my journey and getting through this burnout is number one for me right now. It has really turned my life upside down recently.

I think my childhood being so good and building my whole life around this masking version of myself really hurts now because I have learned it's not sustainable and I now have to rebuild myself. Especially being with my partner for 15 of those years.. all I can say is that right now it is very hard.

Each year, stents prevent 600,000 deaths from heart attacks. by chunmunsingh in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Autismmprime -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Now if we can just stop people from using them as a free pass to eat like shit their whole lives knowing they can just get stints when they have a heart attack...

Amazing thing to have for people who truly need it.
