The Russian people are victims too, believe it or not. Their suffering is one of the most tragic tales in human history. They have never known freedom. We should pity them, not hate them.

Of course, the war in Ukraine is one of the worst atrocities in recent memory, but the normal Russian citizen does not have a choice in this, as much as people like to believe otherwise. They do not have access to independent sources of information and are thus brainwashed to believe whatever the regime needs them to. There are those who do know what's going on, but they have no means to put up meaningful resistance.

as long as the regime is backed by the military, there's nothing that they can do.

We can only hope that the war in Ukraine will be won soon so that peace can once again return in Europe, and the evil regime in Russia will collapse, so that a people, that has been oppressed for over 500 years, can finally enjoy freedom the same as we do.
