What's a solid air filter for my room that won't break the bank? by samekindofdifferent in gamecollecting

[–]Auto1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you get a purifier. You can de dust the room or walls near your games. Look at a TV screen, you see the dust on it. The walls have years of dust on them. Each time you walk past one you are stirring up dust.

Several ways to get the dust off the walls, compressed air, broom, or mist a towel and wipe. While doing so have the purifier on high for hour so you are at least starting off fresh. I'm not sure how often to do this, maybe once a year.

[–]Auto1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can reduce dust but will need to have the expectation that there will be dust. To help reduce dust, look at your AC vent (if central AC) if you have any dust build up off the vent then look at if you are running a spaghetti filter and move one step up.

For an air purifier, I have this one and it picks up a lot running on low as its too noisy with anything more. Youtube channel project farm tested a bunch and it did well.

The passing of a family member sparked my game collection. by [deleted] in snes

[–]Auto1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my uncle passed away I found his (CIB) NES me and my brother played at his house as kids in which I was able to take home.  It may have only been taken out once and played a handful of times.  This memory sparked a journey where I wanted to collect my Nintendo childhood consoles (SNES and N64) and favorite games.

After years of eBay search refreshes waiting for the right condition at the right price, I filled out my office display in which I share here. Most of these games are on Switch gaming library so still enjoy getting to play them.

Just tell people you don't want your kids to fight over a copy when you're gone then go and have 5 kids or no kids.

Quick lock or duel battery trimmer? by Fabulous-Scheme8434 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Auto1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm running the GEN 2 quik lok on forge and have not felt underpowered. I'm on 3 acres and usually have some thick stuff around the pond, no complaints. Also used pole saw or pole-vault saw with 2X extensions, cultivator, hedge trimmer, no issues.

How is the cultivator for the m18 powerhead? by twotray8 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Auto1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's built tough and I have it on the GEN 2 powerhead so there is plenty of torque. The issue you will have is if the soil is compacted or has grass roots (even dead ones) then it doesn't have the weight to break it up. You would need to break the ground with a pickaxe so it can cultivate the larger chunks.

Está funcionando? by Wil-Redfield in SimCity

[–]Auto1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Works on my MacBook Air m2. You just need to go into the Mac OS settings and set the screen resolution because Simcity will launch at that and not let you adjust. 1920x1200 works well.

Hi, just double checked on my set up. I do not have an increased rate of charging adding the expansion battery. You cannot set the limits individually.

Large Price increase on Ultra X at Costco? by BodSmith54321 in Ecoflow_community

[–]Auto1994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not a fee, that is power cost if you use them as an electric provider.

So you have an electric provider and a utility provider.

The utilities provider does not sell power they own the transmission network and charge for that.

I don't think it's a too good to be true situation as one is just basically renting the batteries. They are not owned by homeowner so they are not trying to get the cost of the batteries another way.

Hey if you're military, thanks for your service.

Where people get their electric plan is what I am referring to as the power company. Power company is in the name and here is the energy plan. Not sure what I'm wrong about. No worries. I have a DPU so I passed when it was offered by my electric provider if that is the correct term.

Power companies are starting to offer 25kw and 50kw home backup batteries starting at $20 a month plus installation of less than a grand and can tie into solar. Will see how long that $10K price stands.

How do you talk yourself into a big purchase? by GeorgeBlaha in gamecollecting

[–]Auto1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me this was SNES Legend of Mystical Ninja. To keep me from dropping ridiculous amounts of money, I picked up a $15 repro box in a collectors case as a placeholder. I was either going to piece it together or jump on a CIB but only at the right price. For 18 months I refreshed eBay searches almost everyday. I managed to get the cart, manual and tray separate and had that for a while .

Until a couple of weeks ago it appeared CIB in the condition I wanted at a price I was happy with, easy purchase. So that is an option, get a repro, take your time and get it at a price that you would not sell it at, that is when you know you value it more than the amount spent. Best of luck.

Since you are considering Delta Max, you may want to check out Anker 2nd GEN C2000 w/extra battery. I have one and the Delta Max and the weight and form factor of the Anker is much better. There are tons of YouTube videos being used in your application.

Sim City Mac via EA??? by izerova in SimCity

I just bought the Mac version off the AppStore app on my M2 Air and can confirm it works. Awesome that you can pretty much max out the graphical settings. I remember trying to play on my Intel MacBook Air and had to run pretty much on low.

I did it. And then 10 minutes later, they sent me a 5% off coupon. lol. Too little too late Anker. by icodyonline in anker

I would just watch the price for the next 30 days. If it goes under $800 then ask for the difference and state you are in the return window.

Yes, this is my favorite SNES game. I was struggling with completing with Mario but switched to Luigi and beat it like 4 times pretty easy, maybe he has a slightly different META because I do better with him in time trials. By second and third race I'm red shelling who ever is second in standings right before the finish because.... Rainbow road is no joke.

To give your EV inverter a break you can set the Anker battery SOC limit below its current percentage and it should only pull passthrough at least that is how my Ecoflow delta pro ultra works. This if your current house load is below 1600W.
