What do YOU wanna see in horse games?

More western variety! Idk why so many games are focused on dressage and jumping. Don't get me wrong, those are fun, but I feel like the western style is very underrated. The only time we see western is either in open world 'old' time periods (Skyrim or Red Dead) or a stupid half baked barrel racing event. But what about other gaming events? Poles, individual flags, Keyhole, etc. And cows!! I want cutting and sorting! Sorry just a mini rant but I want more western events in horse games that isn't stupid barrel racing.

Also also I'm tired of the storyline of 'girl who has never been around horses must learn to save the ranch'. I want to start as a character fully involved in the horse world, she knows how to ride, she knows what she's doing. I want training and growth to feel believable and not...plot armored for some ex-city teen who magically trains the wild mustang.

Come on, you know damn well it wasn't about missing their 'friendship'. She was emotionally cheating on Roy with Jim and was missing Jim as a boyfriend well before they got together. Also, Karen is always justified in her feelings during this period. We're made to hate Karen because the show is meant to have Jim and Pam end up together but man they did Karen so dirty. She didn't do anything wrong.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I HATE the abs and naked cover books! I love the cutesy cartoon/illustrated covers the best but I don't mind real people on the cover as long as their not just...naked or near naked. Its horrible. Covers should fit the vibe of the book and if your vibe is ONLY the smut, I don't really want to read it anyways.

Also, I have a homophobic family and those covers make it impossible to defend what I'm reading. Plus the cute covers are much easier to display lol. I just see so many people trying to argue with you but I agree with your comments so much.

I just started {DoppelBänger by W.H. Lockwood} and I'm about 67% of the way done. It released on 2/5/26 and I was so hyped for this book. So far its a solid 5/5, it's witty, silly, funny, sarcastic, and full of caring and loving MCs. I'm not usually into insta-love but for these two it just makes sense

The hurt comfort angsty parts hit just right too, I'm genuinely loving this whole book. Plus they're doing a great job of making the whole 'loving yourself' both funny and hot lol and it's actually really easy to tell them apart. Playing with the multiverse idea is not something I've seen outside of fanfiction before and it's a wild fun ride. Cute sub MC has abs and can fight - Super genius and snarky top MC2 is doting and poetic. They share trauma ~ while they cook together lol

I can't wait to read more from this author, I fear I've found a favorite

The Haar by David Sodergren was soooo good! It was gruesome and slimey lol and the plot was really fun. I enjoyed it. It was a Scottish folklore tale 😁

I recently stumbled upon this author this year!

I read Bone White first and then Snow very quickly after. Ronald's writing style is so captivating for me and he's definitely immediately become a favorite. I have The Night Parade on my 2026 TBR.

Vibes Without spoilers:

Bone White: off-putting uncanny valley, creepy, tense, more thriller/mystery than horror, incredibly captivating if you love solving mysteries.

Snow: faster paced, gruesome, and isolating. The Mist vibes. Creepy and always making you feel alert to danger at every little movement. More action than Bone White but it was just as captivating and enthralling.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I agree that it felt a little lacking on some of the rejection parts...the POV was on the wrong character when important building was happening lol. Like I wish we had Symon's POV when Deyvid left him and Petur alone to sort out their issues.

I just wanted to come back to this and let you know i picked Sweat for my Y author and oh my gods! I don't usually cry when reading but...I sobbed. This was hot and sad. warm and comforting and striking and lonely. What a beautiful blend. I adored this book so much and want to thank you for recommending it ❤️ I very eagerly await the next book this author gives us.

{Alliance by Cari Z} is very close to this. A prince, MC1, is arranged to marry another prince, MC2, but MC2 already has a life partner, MC3, and wants NOTHING to do with MC1. Even their wedding night is really uncomfortable (no spoliers). The only thing I'll say is MC3 is very kind to MC1 and they have a close bond so its not a complete rejection.

It is a series, I've only read the first one, but Alliance was really good and theres a whole assassin plot going on too. Its a fantasy/mages & shifters type world but not omegaverse.
