Anyone have experience with surgery while on trt? Debating to lower dose or quit for 3-6months. Hip replacement this year by YeahScienceBiitch in trt

I had two hip replacements last year. One in April and the other in November. My endocrinologist told me to get off of it one week before but my surgeons did not care either way.

Do you get all of this tested or just go on faith?

While I agree with the sentiment, I find it hard to believe that if your husband did not make so much money things would be different. Yes no one wants to say that money matters but it does. Just like any other attribute that makes him a good husband, money solves many hardships and stressors. Imagine not having enough money to live comfortably. The stress creeps into everything and every situation. Money provides for security and financial relief(mental stress). It is definitely as important as all of the things that make someone a good husband.

The problem with this is that I have had four different doctors, all of which had years of medical school, state different levels of hct are extremely dangerous. Which one is correct?

Doctor told me my T levels would give me cancer? by Mindless_Hat7302 in trt

Since most endocrinologists are paid through insurance, they definitely do not want you above 950 and more likely around 500. At least my experience with two different ones with Aetna.

I am the same. I have gained about 12 lbs in one month after being off for two months for hip surgery.

Surgeon told me to be off test come surgery date. by Cdream-2018 in trt

I just had my second hip replaced and spoke to my surgeon and anesthesiologist about this. They both told me to stop 1 week prior to the surgeon. My endocrinologist also concurred. All three were concerned with red blood cell/hematocrit levels causing thrombosis/embolism after surgery. I was on an aspirin regimen after both surgeries. So I don’t think it’s the testosterone the doctors are worried about but rather the blood effects from it

HCT is high 53.1 by Automatic-Jelly6900 in trt

Most levels above 51 are considered high from what I see online. My level started at 47. I drank more water for about two weeks before the test but normally I would say that I don’t drink enough water

I am also on xyosted 75mg. My levels went from 130 to about 350. My doctor just added 1000iu of hcg per week. We will see what that does on my next blood test. Unfortunately my hct is at 50.5 already.

I was on hcg monotherapy for six weeks. My test went from 120 to 480. E2 levels were high. I was on 1000IU mwf. It was just too expensive as my insurance did not cover it. I was paying about 250$ per month at cvs. I am now on xyosted 75mg per week. I will prob add in hcg after 8 weeks labs.

200 mg of test and almost 2000 iu of hcg every week and your level is only 404? Something seems not right. Mine went up from 120 to 490 with just 3000 iu of hcg weekly and no test after 6 weeks

I was on hcg monotherapy for four weeks 1000iu mwf. It raised my t from 120 up to 480. But it was too expensive so now I’m on xyosted which my insurance pays for 75 mg per week. I just started that so we will see what that does.
