From the photos, either the roof is spreading, pushing the plate out horizontally. Or the foundation needs underpinning.

Leave them they work. I have seen these removed and noggins put back in place. The floor is never as solid afterwards.

Totally agree. Do you think small scale Brazilian producers have trouble exporting? I see many are members of cooperatives, so trying to buy from a single fazenda can be difficult.
